“Sea”Food and EAT IT! | Cookinitup's Blog
https://cookinitup.wordpress.com/2011/07/11/seafood-and-eat-it
Just another WordPress.com site. 8220;Sea”Food and EAT IT! When I was a kid, I lived coastal. I’m talking Newport Beach Coastal! Now, there are many memories to gather from this short season of my childhood. A few of my favorites include the smell of the air, the warmth of the sun, and the sound of the ocean…and oh yeah, being greeted by dolphins playing in the waves while on my morning walk to the local elementary! Yep, it was beautiful. Doesn’t the beach just bring a calm? The ocean debuts so many vari...

Just another WordPress.com site. The ‘Lunch Room’…. 8230; Well, what in the world to do about it? This is a question, that I am frequently asked. One question in which most likely evolved the “fast food” fix and why it remains so popular. Everyone is on the go,… in between kids soccer meets, on a squeezed half hour lunch break, or planning for a day at the beach. And what is the quick solution? Well here’s to hoping that no bubbles burst…”. A few more tips! 8230;well here you go…”always make ...8221; Lef...
Summertime Sizzles… | Cookinitup's Blog
https://cookinitup.wordpress.com/2011/07/02/summertime-sizzles
Just another WordPress.com site. What a gorgeous afternoon it is! It’s sunny, warm, and… Saturday of course! In just a day or so, our nation will be celebrating its freedom and independance…and I gotta say, the 4th is my absolute favorite holiday! There is something about the patriotism, smokey BBQ’s, and the official “feel” of summer, that just resonate with me. I LOVE it! As a kid, I would take summer vacation’s in Wisconsin. Oh how I MISS it! 8221; Well, …. Eggplant “Buns”. 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce.

Just another WordPress.com site. Salmon with a side of “YES Please! A few months back, my husband I took a trip down to sunny San Diego to visit some family. It was during the first month of us introducing the Paleo lifestyle into our everyday routine and I gotta say I was a little nervous of the menu to be prepared. Now don’t get me wrong, my Aunt is an amazing cook, I was just nervous dinner would be something such as. Until this vacay, I had never had salmon prepared better! It has become one of the q...

The Sorensen Family: July 2013
http://sornys.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 5, 2013. Memorial day/ My birthday. It was a relaxing trip to the cabin. I think the only thing we did out of the house was go to the Alpine slides (or pine cone slides as Aubrey likes to call them). And a photo shoot with Reese wearing bunny ears was the only thing to document our trip (other than the photos above). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Sorensen Family: Sleep walking
http://sornys.blogspot.com/2015/02/sleep-walking.html
Thursday, February 26, 2015. Yesterday Dallin, at 9 1/2 years old, woke up in the bath tub with his blanket. All I know is that he was in his bed around midnight. Don't know how that happened, but unfortunately I think he takes after me a bit. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Glenn and I were married January 2004 and have 4 amazing (and busy) kids. The Sorensen Family: Liam's growing up
http://sornys.blogspot.com/2015/02/liam-growing-up.html
Thursday, February 26, 2015. A few days ago Liam at age 5 1/2 discovered that he had 2 loose teeth. His response to this discovery was "well, I guess I'm done sucking my thumb". And he totally is done. When I asked him about it this morning he said "yep! In growing up. I'm not sucking my thumb anymore and I'm not scared to go upstairs by myself anymore. Yep! He's just so proud of himself. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). First You Must Begin. The World of Williams. Little league opening day.
The Sorensen Family: April 2013
http://sornys.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 28, 2013. Tuesday, April 9, 2013. While at Disneyland we were boarding the ride "Soarin over California" and Liam leans over to me and says "I can't unbuckle on this ride, nope. No I can't. I can't unbuckle on this ride and dance. Nope.". I giggled a little thinking that kids think up the most random things. Then I saw it. And it all made perfect sense. Fun with the kiddos. The Sorensen Family: July 2014
http://sornys.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 7, 2014. The 3 older kids all played basketball and baseball/softball (for Aubrey). They all had great seasons and I absolutely love watching them all play. It's amazing how much they improve in one season at these ages. They learn and grow so much! Saturday, July 5, 2014. Last time we were in Big Bear Glenn took the kids for a little hike. On the way back they were talking about the solar system when Dallin says "did you know that Pluto is a dwarf planet? Friday, July 4, 2014.
The Sorensen Family: February 2015

Saturday, February 28, 2015. For Valentines Day this year we decided to throw a party. We put up black lights in the cultural hall and Glenn busted out his DJ equipment and had a glow in the dark dinner and dance party. There were about 36 adults and 40 kids there. It was a blast and I hope it turns into an annual event. Little league opening day. I made the banner for this team. I thought it was pretty cool, although it didn't win the competition. (We totally got robbed). Thursday, February 26, 2015.

And here's just some pics of the kids playing and Reese's hair flying. Monday, October 14, 2013. Where has the time gone? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Glenn ...

Cookin' It Real | a new mom's perspective on life as a homemaker
Cookin' It Real. A new mom's perspective on life as a homemaker. January 31, 2014. A few days ago, I made a new granola recipe. I was going to go with one of my tried and true favorites, but I wanted to try out a few things. I threw them together, crossed my fingers, and waited to see what happened. What followed was a little bit of granola heaven. 2 cups oatmeal (old fashioned). 1 cup uncooked quinoa, rinsed. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. 1/2 shredded unsweetened coconut. 3 tbsp almond butter. Anyways, my li...

So I just read over what was in our family beginning and I am embarrassed at how out dated it is. Mickelle, we are so proud of you and we feel the same way at home. She is also doing Super Sports all through July twice a week which will be so fun. To say the least she keeps us very busy! She loves to play outside with all her friends and reminds me ...

Just another WordPress.com site. Sweet Potato Lovin’…. It all started with the “complimentary breakfast” our hotel provided. Oh boy, they had belgin waffles! Now, really…how could I turn that down! Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Just writing some thoughts. I wish I didn't feel that way because it makes me feel guilty. I want to enjoy all the time I have with Cooper. Which I enjoy a lot of it, but I am counting down till his nap so I can get those hours in. How do I balance that a little better? I also HATE the fact that if we wanted to get pregnant again, we CAN'T because it's too blasted expensive! I think the only option we have is for me to work full-time again, and it is killing me! Monday, May 3, 2010. 28th April 11.45pm. That was the day granny (my mom's mom) passed away. Here are my memories of my dearest Grandmother. On the weeks we did not visit her, she would come over to my house. For every week she did not see us, she would give each of us 1 dollar. 1 Dollar at that time may not seem like much, but it made up my entire Piggy Bank's savings. I loved hearing her stories. They always intrigued me. That was my grandma :). Posted by ize at 11:33 PM. Sunday, March 21, 2010. It's b...
