Sweet Pea's Mom: How Much Is Too Much?
http://sueromero.blogspot.com/2009/08/how-much-is-too-much.html
Tuesday, August 11, 2009. How Much Is Too Much? I'm already filling in for a co-worker on maternity leave and another one who is on vacation, in addition to doing my own shift. Late yesterday my boss asked me to come in early (during a split shift? Cruel and unusual punishment! To fill-in for yet another co-worker who called in sick. Please let the next three and a-half weeks go faster. That is so cruel to make you do that during a SPLIT SHIFT. Its bad enough, anyway. So terrible, and i relate to...If yo...

Sweet Pea's Mom: August 2009
http://sueromero.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 14, 2009. It's a Girl Thing. A client came into the studio this morning (where I am the only female) and she was a very cute, 20-something with a Valley girl voice that reminded me of the actress Juliette Lewis. I thought it was curious that this pretty girl made no eye contact with me and didn't greet me, even though I tried to make eye contact and smile at her. And then continued to not talk to me the entire time. I gave up after awhile. Why do women sometimes do that? The only way I cou...

Sweet Pea's Mom: Not Getting Easier
http://sueromero.blogspot.com/2009/08/not-getting-easier.html
Tuesday, August 4, 2009. My eyes were so dry on my way home that when I rubbed my eye, my right contact lense fell out. I was still five minutes away from my house so I put the lense in my mouth to keep it moist and tried not to swallow it. In between shifts I have exactly enough time to do one task (grocery store, laundry, or other), fix something to eat, take a nap and still leave myself enough time to get back to work for the afternoon shift. Oh thats so sad! August 4, 2009 at 4:27 PM. Its a Girl Thing.

Sweet Pea's Mom: July 2009
http://sueromero.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 28, 2009. I Hate Hearing These. One was issued out of Kittatas County with two toddler boys, 2 and 3-years-old. When I heard it, I got a pit in my stomach. When I had to put my voice on the story, I felt like I could start crying. Did that SUV drive by someone who might have reported it, if they knew police were looking for it? Monday, July 20, 2009. She just officially turned 2 and 1/2. This is at the beach near our house. She doesn't care about water temperature, or rocks. Not surprisingl...

Sweet Pea's Mom: Back to School...someday.
http://sueromero.blogspot.com/2009/09/back-to-schoolsomeday.html
Thursday, September 3, 2009. Back to School.someday. All the back-to-school talk and stories of co-workers and friends dropping their kids off at their first days of kindergarten have me wondering, "Will I cry when it's Sweet Pea's time? The answer is "Yes". Saying goodbye to that face already makes me tear up. She is a doll! Look at that doll face! You will for sure cry :). September 5, 2009 at 5:53 PM. Coach bags on sale. Sweet Pea's Mom: December 2008
http://sueromero.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 22, 2008. Sweet Pea's First Time in Snow. We got at least 3-4 inches at our house in Edmonds, but the snow drift in our driveway was deep enough to 'plant' Tia. We also made a Snowman and went sledding down our driveway- -except we didn't have a sled! So Ian got out the kayak.pictures coming soon! Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Get Away From Me, Santa. When I got Sweet Pea's second-ever Santa picture in the mail today, it made me laugh. She looks like she's about to cry! Sweet Pea is always ...

Sweet Pea's Mom: March 2009
http://sueromero.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 8, 2009. Little Sue Big Sue. My sister put this picture insert into my birthday card for my 40th. I think I'll save it for posterity. Wednesday, March 4, 2009. This is what you get on your birthday when you have a sneaky sister and cousins- -a singing gorilla! He sang a song in his 'Elvis' voice and then most of the newsroom sang me 'Happy Birthday'. I'm usually the one doing this sort of thing to people. It was weird being on the receiving end! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Little Sue Big Sue.

Sweet Pea's Mom: February 2009
http://sueromero.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 22, 2009. Why is it, that when you think to yourself "This is a bad idea" you usually go ahead and do it anyway, because you think you'll remember to somehow prevent the inevitable stupid thing from happening? I was about to explode when Ian offered to rinse off the contents of my purse and set them out to dry on the counter. Then he rinsed off the lining of my purse and hung it over the railing on the deck. This is less disastrous than the time I left the coffee mug standing on the floo...

Sweet Pea's Mom: Sweet Pea's Halloween
http://sueromero.blogspot.com/2009/11/sweet-peas-halloween.html
Sunday, November 1, 2009. Tia was a 'Lilac Fairy' for Halloween, a character from the book, "Ella Bella the Ballerina and The Sleeping Beauty.". She went trick-or-tricking with Dad at the Halloween party at work. Then went trick-or-treating 'for real' for the first time with her 8-year-old cousin Kenzi, who dressed up as Mulan. She didn't really get the hang of trick-or-treating until after the first few houses, when she figured out that people were just giving away free candy! November 2, 2009 at 4:24 AM.
