Therapeutic Cooking

Sunday, April 3, 2011. I picked this recipe. I did tweak the recipe of course. I refuse to use dough from a can. Big pet peeve that I have had since I was young. My recipe has a yummy crust that is so easy to make, but I would not be offended if you used crescent rolls from the store. I also envision this being freezer friendly. 189; really warm water. 189; TB yeast. 189; tsp sugar or honey. 1 TB olive or canola oil. 2 ½ cups flour. 189; tsp salt. 1 medium onion, chopped. 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms.

Therapeutic Cooking: October 2010

http://www.coombsabcs.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 15, 2010. This recipe is similar to Peanut Butter Drops, because you can use that recipe on popcorn. The difference is that you cook this a little longer so it is more like caramel popcorn and not so gooey and sticky. Oh, and it uses honey. I have been enjoying incorporating honey into my. . . healthier cooking. :). That landed on the floor from the other kids and after that small taste went crazy trying to get more. Oops. With honey, not corn syrup). Remove sugar mixture from heat and st...

Therapeutic Cooking: No Bake Cheesecake

Monday, February 14, 2011. It's Valentine's Day. Yea. Our budget is super tight, so, to celebrate the special occasion I am making a super easy and yummy treat. This recipe came from my Mother-in-law. It is delish. And makes my hubby very happy. (My gift to me was a crock pot meal from the freezeer. I have made this a lot and it works with full fat, low fat, and fat free ingredients. You really can't go wrong. 1 graham cracker crust (store bought or homemade). 1 pkg (8 oz.) Cream Cheese, softened. Prefer...

Therapeutic Cooking: August 2010

http://www.coombsabcs.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Here is a fun breakfast idea. I have to double this for my family and make 24 muffins. I loved my silicone muffin pans for this. Because I used the silicone pans I didn't use the butter. I just sprayed the pans with spray and when the popovers were done they slid right out of the pan with no sticking. Perfect and so yummy. 1 cup milk (3 TB powdered milk - mix the powder with the flour - 1 cup water). 189; cup blueberries. Put butter in muffin pans – divide evenly. Preferably som...
