The big time media coverage hasn't caught on to Dean yet, but you can read an article about him in today's Boston Globe Magazine. Dean also has a website. I am not sure how this escaped my notice (actually, I do know how it happened: I was hard at work dissertating and did not check all my regular reads). Columbia University has rescinded.
