Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Things are starting to get busy at Coop! In one more week the halls and classrooms will once again be filled with the laughter of children! On Monday and Tuesday the parents will be cleaning our classrooms until they shine! The Teachers have been busy preparing their classrooms, lesson planning, and resting! It's an exciting time! Saturday, February 1, 2014. Hibernation Day in Preschool! Hibernation Day (aka Pajama Day) has to be one of my favorite days of the year! The children love it and are so engaged! I thought I'd share a pictorial story of our day! We began the day with music/movement class! We begin our hunt for clues to where the bear is hiding! Continuing on the Bear Hunt! The clue took us down the stairs! We found the bear! Hibernating in our cave! Eating popcorn in the cave! A messy cave with a few crumbs left over!

Friday, March 30, 2012. 100 day in preschool! Looking over our 100 items! On Thursday the 4's class celebrated 100 day! Each child brought 100 items from home. We had legos, blueberries, toilet paper sheets, pennies, gum balls from a sweet gum tree, M and M's, just to name a few! We counted to 100 by ones, fives, tens, and twenties. Friday, March 28, 2014. Our Annual Class Play! Most years my four's class writes a play. We base the play on a story that we've read during the school year. Past year's plays have been based on Little Red Riding Hood, The Mitten, Peter and the Wolf to name a few. This year the children chose "Peter Pan". They rewrote the story to include several new characters! The performance was marvelous! Painting trees for a forest background! Drawing ocean creatures in our ocean background! Saturday, October 26, 2013. Coop Nursery School at the Pumpkin Patch! We had such a great time at the Pumpkin Patch last week! It was a very cold day! We walked and played with snow flurries surrounding us! This group of four year olds set a record for the fastest time walking to the patch, picking out a pumpkin, walking back from the patch, posing for a group picture, and walking back to a warm building! We've learned about ourselves, families, and met new friends! We had fun learning about apples and fire safety! We now move on to discovering all we can about our fantastic Autumn season!
