Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Our spring break this year was super low-key. I just wasn't up to planning day-to-day activities like I've done in years past. Plus there were a couple of doctor's appointments, and Evan had a bunch of meetings, so the kids were kind of left to fend for themselves and be creative with their time for the first half of spring break. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Can you believe it? We kept his birthday low key. We bought him this sandbox as his gift:. It's on our back porch, in a fenced in backyard. He's had a lot of fun out there already, but he doesn't want to be there by himself. Grandma and Grandpa Barlow sent him a package with some goodies inside:. Mummi and Pappa sent a card with money. We still need to figure out what to buy him with that. Something Peep and the Big Wide World-ish, though, of course! Happy Birthday, booger!

Friday, July 24, 2015. Summer Break, Weeks 2-7. I warned you I wouldn't be giving a week-by-week play of the summer. :). Week 2 began with Spencer starting a 4-week long outdoor summer camp. He was gone every day from 9:30-3:30. And since he went with his best friend, J, and J's mom drove, he was usually gone even longer. And then most nights were spent at baseball games or practice. So for those 4 weeks, I feel like I never saw Spencer. But he was having a blast! Here we are, waiting for it to start:.

Both kids learned to swing on their own here in Finland, so it's fun to see them swinging on the same swings as they did then:. Sunday, March 9, 2014. Stuffed Animal Storage Solution. I have a love/hate relationship with stuffed animals. I hate the dust they collect. I hate the space that they take up. But I love that they provide entertainment for my kids. Annoyingly, my kids have always insisted on keeping their stuffed animals on their bed. When they were little, it wasn't a huge deal.
