A story of pots from the North End Pottery, the studio of John Hall. In the Autumn of 2013, John traveled to Taipei in Taiwan, principally to visit the National Palace Museum to see the collection of Chinese Imperial China which was removed from the mainland by the nationalists in 1947. The museum had a stunning collection with individual pieces of the highest quality fit for the emperor! He also visited the city of Yingge, outside Taipei, a Taiwanese ceramics centre.

Rothbury's heritage goes back possibly as far as 10,000BC, when the first people are thought to have come to the land north of the River Tyne. However, the earliest real evidence is from Neolithic times (around 2,000 BC) through to the Iron Age forts (500BC) found around the Coquet Valley.
