Corhampton Lane Farm is 600 acres (242ha) and has been in the Hall family since 1954. There is approximately 50 acres (20ha) of woodland and the rest is in arable cropping. Our main crops are Autumn sown wheat and oilseed rape, spring sown barley and perennial rye grass. Most of the crops are grown for seed and processed into a bag for our seed merchant customers in our own seed cleaning plant. We started from Winchester on Good Friday, and arrived at Amberley at the end of Easter Monday. We used Bed and Breakfast accommodation; carrying our own clothes and so on. We bought packed lunches from B&Bs, and ate out all the time. We aimed to walk 15 miles per day (including getting to and from the B&B). Day 2: Exton to Buriton.
