Funding permitted, Corner Pieces two major and ongoing projects are to:. Provide iPad and iPods to autistic children, and special needs classrooms. It is our belief that touch tablets, such as the Nabi, iPads or iPod’s are not only the most cost effective, but the most dynamic learning tool for children with learning disabilities in the last 25 years. Create unique events to bridge the gap between neurotypical adults and children and whose with Autism or other developmental disabilities.

Saturday, January 28, 2012. Laker Hockey Takes On Autism. We recently put on a Laker Hockey Event. Many children with autism and their families were able to not only attend the game for free, but meet with the Laker Players afterwords in the locker room for photos and autographes. Corner Pieces held a silent auction in the lobby and raised over $550 towards the lighting of the Mackinac Bridge blue for Autism Awareness month this coming April. Brian had a great time with Laker student volunteers.
