It's buried deep in the bows ahead of the centreboard case which makes it tricky to remove and hard to see. The best solution was to replace the ply with plastic making it maintenance free. Despite it not being easily viewable, the plastic I used was brown so it kind of looks like wood (if you squint when you are looking at it). Posted by Chris Abela. Tuesday, 15 November 2016.

Wednesday, 9 November 2016. This is something I end up doing with all wooden foils. I've removed the rough damaged tip of the rudder blade and replaced it with thickened epoxy.
