Living the Australian dream. A Frenchie settling down in Australia with her Aussie horse. Life at Novar (3) Babies stories. February 18, 2014. Driving home on a parallel road: they’re having a big barbecue over there! Late that same night Ben came back from a long trip to Brisbane, and drove on that road t. Hrough a scary black, red and smoky landscape. The next day we saw the damage by day light: not much left but ashes…. And the place was for sale…. Still some fire to put down…. Dinner is getting ready.

Living the Australian dream. A Frenchie settling down in Australia with her Aussie horse. Mariage à l’Australienne. November 22, 2013. Well, I did it! Yesterday, I became Mrs Ainscough! After many preparations, we had everything ready on the Gwydir River riverbanks. Most of our friends came to celebrate with us, from Boxvale Qld, to Maldon VIC. In the morning, I rode the 25km from home to the wedding place in 2,5 hours at a big trot and canter. Great ride! Here comes the bride with her best buddy. After ...

Living the Australian dream. A Frenchie settling down in Australia with her Aussie horse. July 12, 2015. We have been housekeeping for a couple of weeks at our neighbours. Yesterday afternoon, a young woman arrived at our gate on a pushbike and asked if she could pitch her tent somewhere… It was like a. But from the other side, a pushbike instead of a horse. Of course, we invited her in for a shower, a hot meal and a good bed in the warmth of the house. Devi. Is from Boston, USA, graduated from Harvard,.

Living the Australian dream. A Frenchie settling down in Australia with her Aussie horse. Back at Boxvale: drier than ever…. September 25, 2013. Barry went to pick me up at the airport, and after a good night sleep at Donna’s house. On the coast, we drove nine hours back to the bush and Boxvale. Very very different from France, that for sure! Beautiful, well fed Jedie. It’s dry in the bush! Beautiful parrots come for a drink near the yards. Little pigs grew big in 6 weeks, and not really shy! After sayin...

Living the Australian dream. A Frenchie settling down in Australia with her Aussie horse. August 21, 2014. Well, everything has an end. This is the end of that blog. Life becomes much more complicated when you are living the “reality”, isn’t it? How much easier is it to write about traveling on a horse and describing a journey than trying not. To write about personal things? As a couple, our life journey is more private…. And don’t forget to come and say hello at the Milk Carton Café! Map of my trip.

Living the Australian dream. A Frenchie settling down in Australia with her Aussie horse. Life at Novar (2). January 27, 2014. Not much is happening these days. I’m enjoying my life as a married woman (amazingly, I got used to that pretty quickly 🙂 ), making my nest and taking care of my loved husband, the animals and the garden. We are eating beautiful tomatoes and zucchinis, among other green veges, so nice! By shredding them and putting them in jars with salted water, whey and spices: yum! I was quic...

Living the Australian dream. A Frenchie settling down in Australia with her Aussie horse. First days at Swan Bay. May 24, 2014. Two weeks are gone already since we move in Swan Bay! What a great place! On my birthday, Hilary and Steuart took us for a tour to Evans Head and its beaches: there is a 38km beach from Evans Head to Ballina where it is allowed to drive a 4*4, ride a horse or walk your dog! Birds like hanging around fishermen. Cassie’s short time partner and his sister. On Monday, I helped Steua...
