I started designing and building this Corsair because I wanted one. But the response has been so overwhelming I am considering offering a kit. However, I'm not accepting any money. I won't make the decision on whether to offer a kit until the protype is flying. And I don't want there to be any pressure to cut corners or produce before it's ready. I then spent hundreds, if not thousands of hours digging through archives and reading thousands of pages on microfilm and found the original specs and drawings for the Chance-Vought F4U-1A Corsair. The Corsair82. Uses the exact dimensions of the Corsair for all bulkheads scaled to 82%. Every attempt is being made to be true to the original design. Has been through several revisions, including a 75% scale version. The final design scale is set at 82%. At that size the Corsair82. More of the Fuselage.

Saturday, December 27, 2014. Today Tony and I drove to the Conowingo dam (located on the Susquehanna River near the town of Conowingo, MD ). So I could photograph bald eagles. This is a place that many photographers visit. It's about an hour, 40 minute drive from where we live. I've been wanting a longer zoom lens for a while, and after today (I used my Nikon D7000 and Nikon 70-300mm lens), I DEFINITELY want a longer zoom.
