Tuesday, December 13, 2011. A Trip to the Zoo. We had a really fun afternoon during the summer going to the Binder Park Zoo that's located right here in Battle Creek! The park was HUGE so by the time we left all 3 of us were ready for a nap. Seriously this place was so big that there was a tram that takes you to the safari area of the zoo, where we were able to feed the giraffes which was definitely the highlight of the whole trip. So fun! Owen loved getting on all the fake animals. Evans Family of Three.

Its been about three weeks now and most of you probably already now this, but Cory finished off his last year of college basketball by going to the NAIA National Tournament and got 2nd! Also at the tournament he was awarded 3 different awards. Academic All American (for the 4th time), Honorable Mention All American, and All Tournament Team! Way to go Cory! Evans Family of Three. Monday, December 12, 2011. Bombers Baseball Champions 2011 Season. As you all know, Cory works for a the Battle Creek Bombers Collegiate Baseball team out here. He worked his little bum off all season and it sure paid off. This summer they had their most successful season in attendance, profits, and wins! This year was the first time the Bombers ever made it to the Championships and they ended up winning the whole thing! Owen's love/hate relationship with the mascot, MOE! Evans Family of Three.

I wish I had been better about writing things down each time Owen did something exciting and new because now it's so much harder to just try and remember things off the top of my head, especially with a memory like mine. Stats from his 4 month appointment. Height- 25 1/2inches (above average). Weight- 14.3 (average). Sometimes I miss not having to worry about putting him on the bed...

So, at my appointment on Friday they scheduled me for induction this Friday. We got a phone call this morning saying that we could move it up to tomorrow and so that's our news! I just had an excellent idea for taking pictures: go find some abandoned shed or railroad tracks in Draper (the more wheat around it, the better), get an oversized, round, colored balloon, wear something artsy with a beanie, and walk away from the camera, taking the picture of your back. Friday, May 3, 2013. Fire Station Field Trip. Bailey's preschool class went to the fire station for a field trip today. She invited Zane to go along, and they have both been so excited for today to finally get here! Z loved the fire trucks, although he was scared to death of the fireman once he got dressed in all of his gear. Bailey got to sit in the driver's seat in the fire truck, and she loved it. Throw in the plastic fire hats the kids got, and it was the best field trip ever! Spring Soccer - Bailey.
