One production at a time. Thursday, August 21, 2008. Rig Setup v. 2.0, might need to rotate the adapter to make it workable. Hope I'll be able to purchase the following in India:. Hope I can also rent an external monitor while I'm there, too. On a separate note, I've gotten a little distracted from my preparations since the website I'd been developing for months went down because of a security vulnerability in the platform. I patched it today but lost about a week's worth of work. 48 hour film project.

Making Films: The Namesake
http://lastframeofaction.blogspot.com/2008/08/namesake.html
One production at a time. Thursday, August 21, 2008. Mira Nair has a tender style in this film. I enjoyed the cinematography which took the approach of finding beauty in the every day. Nothing forced or created. Sound design was also accented.memories which emphasized voices, clinking, waves. Subtle, yet present. At some points, I even noted the kind of lens she might have used. One production at a time. Saturday, July 26, 2008. The rising costs of this India trip is seriously making me nervous. Everytime I make an online transaction, I get a sinking feeling in my stomach. I'm putting myself in the red. I ended up having to purchase a fluid tripod head to go on my Cullmann VideoMagic since their video head was pretty crappy. One production at a time. Thursday, August 14, 2008. The majority of my gear has now come in, including the Letus mini. I'll be waiting until the weekend to test it out just because I have a pretty full day ahead tomorrow. So far though, I really like how my Nikon lenses attach easily. Have to wait until the rig comes in from IndiFocus/Studio4 though. I don't want to take all this stuff out unsupported! Hawai'i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.
