Due to Waldo Canyon Fire and subsequent flooding this trail is no longer available. William canyon is located just north of Manitou Springs. To start the hike it's best to park in Manitou Springs and continue north on Canon Ave. Shortly after you pass under the US-24 bridge you will reach Cave of the Winds. Take US-24 west to Manitou Springs. Find a parking spot downtown. Take Canyon Ave north to reach Williams Canyon's Entrance. 31 miles from the end of Cascade Ave to Rampart Range road. Sunday, July 12, 2015. It Was the 4th. We took a selfie on July 4th. This was late in the afternoon and we starting to shoot fireworks. I kept it pretty low key this year and let the kids go to town. I bought fireworks but let the kids shoot them off. The weather was great and I spent most of the afternoon in the pool. Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Again we were out the door early and on our way to the trail head. The drive today was about an hour and we arrived at the parking lot just before 8AM. We walked the Hall of Mosses, Spruce Trail and the Hoh River Trail for about a mile and half and back. It was great to be out early and we saw very few people.
