Normally at this time of year things are very quiet, with most birds either still breeding or moulting, and there is very little movement of birds, and I don’t tend to go out much myself. However on the 22. June a friend of mine José Antonio was coming to stay for a few days in La Manga with his family, and could manage a couple of hours early morning bird watching, and asked me to come along. Birding in Murcia (Spain). Tuesday, 14 October 2014. A morning at 'El Hondo' - postscript. Upper wing is good for LSE. Underwing with double comas and blackish secondaries also indicate to LSE. The shape and size of bill is slender and typical LSE-type. We cannot see any barring on flight feathers. This is the 2cy bird and it can be still pretty dark.
