Wednesday, 4 August 2010. Anyway, we left Arica and headed up into the mountains for our pass into Bolivia. The village where we stayed is Putre, and at 3,500m is pretty high. Unsurprisingly, we huffed and puffed our way to the hostel we were staying at, which turned out to be a rather smart small place run by a couple of Italians, we even had heating and feather duvets!
