Wednesday, 6 April 2011. A few new acquisitions for the cottage have been acquired lately! A few weeks ago I visited the Spring Country Living Fair, I had to be very strong willed as I could easily have spent a fortune and manage to resist the temptation of some rather impractical objects. But I knew I was doomed as soon as I approached the Velvet Ribbon. I also visited the Sea Garden. Stall which was wonderfully well-presented and spied this lovely brass box. Not a bad haul from my day at the fair!

Monday, 20 May 2013. To paint or not to paint. I have to confess to having been suffering from a bad case of itchy paintbrush lately. I seem desperate to paint something. The first idea I had was to paint the black metal fireplace in the sitting room a nice rustic white colour to lift the room. At this time of year, the time can seem to pass so slowly as I become blinkered to the season I am currently in and instead start to look forward to lighter mornings and longer days rather than enjoying the candle-lit cosiness of late winter. I think I have a bit of a grasshopper mind, as I tend to hanker after the things still to come rather than enjoying the present. Sunday, 14 September 2014. This post combines two of my favourite crafts. You might remember decoupage was my craft for 2013. Remember the eggs and the birdhouses? 2014's craft is Craqueleur, it started with the egg box and I'm loving it. I haven't perfected it but I'm loving it! Last weekend I combined the two!
