Thursday, February 25, 2010. A couple of week-ends ago, on a beautiful, crisp, sunny day, we had to run to town to pick up some things from Lowe's. Since all 5 of us were together, we did something we haven't before. we split up. Hubby and son dropped us girls off at Antique Alley and they went to on to the hardware store. Franny hadn't been in a while and she found LOTS of goodies - including a dinette from either the 40's or 50's. It has the aluminum trim and legs - VERY neat! Excellent condition, too!

Monday, June 22, 2009. Well, we're back online (for now! Not sure if the precautions we've taken are going to work, but we certainly hope so. We know that we have no support, or protection, from our internet. A few things going on since we've been "gone" . finally got some of the babies hung (these frames didn't have picture hangers on them and they're made of some kind of resin - it took a while to find a solution and we were bogged down with other things! They're up now, however! Some of our baby girl.

Thursday, January 21, 2010. Come Meet the Girls! Well, last Sunday afternoon, we went to a farm and picked up a few hens! I had my mind made up before we got them, that they should have the names of 1940's housewives, so I did a search of the most popular girls names of the 1920's. Baby girl, Little Man, and I chose these. Hubby thinks it's a little silly and said he'll probably just be saying, "the yellow one with the white dots" - he's so bad! She's the first to "greet" you! They are so cute with them!

Monday, September 20, 2010. Our Foyer and Hallway. Since I'm watching the Saints game, I'm sitting still. Since I'm sitting still, I have time to post. I'm so very behind in everything. We're still working on the kitchen. We've been held up by the cabinet guy and Lowe's. You just can't ever tell how long a project will take, no matter how well you plan and how hard you work - can you? In remodeling, just as in life, there are things (many things) beyond our control. .sigh. We also replace the light.
