Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Resurrection Sunday was a busy day so we didn't get too many pictures. Here's one of Micah and Ashlyn outside at church. Tea Party with Auntie Vonna. Auntie Vonna was out of town for Ashlyn's birthday so we decided to celebrate with a little tea party after she came back. Ashlyn loves tea parties, and this one was special because she got to use real tea cups! Lovin' her tea this is the teacup Auntie Vonna gave her last year. This is so much fun! Our Baby's 2nd Birthday. She is ver...

Saturday, August 20, 2011. My Baby's Growing Up. It was a joy to celebrate Micah's birthday this summer! But I have to say, "I can't believe my baby is growing up! He keeps telling me it won't be long before he'll be taller than me. And I'm sure he's right! I love to remember those days when I could hold him in my arms and everything was so new! But it is so much fun to have a 7 year old to interact and have fun with. Every day is filled with adventure and crazy new ideas. I love his imagination!

Saturday, June 12, 2010. Finishing up the Tball Season. After 10 games, Micah's first T-ball season came to an end. He had a great time playing this year, and is looking forward to playing again next year. Throughout the entire season, his prayer request remained the same. "Mama, please pray that we will win our game on Saturday." He still doesn't quite get the fact that everybody wins in T-ball. Got the ball and heading to the base. Micah's last at-bat of the season. What a great season! Over Memorial D...

Tuesday, January 31, 2012. What a Difference a Year Makes. As I was going through our pictures from 2011 I came across this picture of Micah and I at the end of last January. We had been at the Butterfly reserve north of Santa Barbara for a field trip. As we were heading home, the weather was so beautiful that we made an unexpected stop at the the beach in Santa Barbara and played in the water for a little while. And one year later, we had another unexpected adventure. Lots of fun! So where did we go?

Saturday, August 4, 2012. May Mother's Day and the Thomas Family. We loved Spring in Chicagoland! Beautiful sunshine and gorgeous vibrant colors! And best of all, several visitors with whom to enjoy our new surroundings. It was a busy few months, but oh so fun! Here's what May looked like for us. Mother's Day pictures at the Nature Center. So thankful to be a Mama to these two! After we returned home from our picnic the kids got their swimsuits on and went to work washing the cars. Josh and Ashlyn though...

Monday, June 11, 2012. Papa and Nana came to Chicago! At the end of April we had a wonderful time welcoming my parents to our new home in Chicago! It was such a blessing to have them here to see what life looks like for us now, and as an added blessing we got to do a bit of exploring. We discovered that while we had fun in Chicago in the winter, we had a LOT of fun when the weather was nice! Over the course of a week, we did a lot of things, and took LOTS of pictures! We LOVED having you! And of course w...

The Scroggins Family: October 2011

Thursday, October 6, 2011. Man plans his ways, but the Lord directs his steps. When we moved to California, 13 years ago, we did so under the premise that it was temporary - just long enough to get Nathan through his undergrad degree. But once that was finished, the Lord led us on to seminary. And after that, a position at the Master's College. Once we had been here so long, we just felt settled. A great job, a great church, and wonderful friends! Why would we ever leave? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Scroggins Family: November 2011
http://savedbygr8ce.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 26, 2011. Thirteen years ago, on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, two "kids" loaded up a U-Haul truck and headed west, from North Carolina to California. We were so young, and we had such dreams about what we thought God was going to do. It's hard to believe that was 13 years ago! Before we left California, my sister made me a book and included the words to this song. I love it as it describes so beautifully, the way our hearts feel right now. Saturday, November 19, 2011. Jasmine and A...

The Scroggins Family: Our Mid-West Summer Vacation
http://savedbygr8ce.blogspot.com/2012/09/our-mid-west-summer-vacation.html
Sunday, September 30, 2012. Our Mid-West Summer Vacation. We had a wonderful mid-west summer vacation this year! And we learned something new - when you camp in the mid-west, you can't expect the same beautiful sunshine that you do in So Cal! Our vacation began with Family Camp at Camp Harvest just north of Grand Rapids, Michigan. It's a beautiful camp and we had a great time getting to know some other families from our church. Micah enjoyed trying out the archery range. Ashlyn and Daddy She didn't want ...
