Born in 1969, Tracey-Leigh grew up in the South Eastern suburbs of Victoria, Australia. The middle child of three, she was raised in a Christian home, largely by her mother, after her father left them when she was six. Just as she was stepping onto the bridge of adolescence, her mum re-married, turning her family of 4 into a blended family of 7. Struggling to find a sense of belonging and purpose, Tracey-Leigh found much to rebel against in her teenage years and wound up out of home at the age of 16.
