Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Ok, I may have spoken too soon. But technically, spring has arrived and all the signs are here. But I honestly wasn't expecting this. Someone always manages to spot me not matter how hard I try to keep out of sight. It was a busy day at the bird feeder. And so, as the sun sets on another day, the snow stops, finally. In the distance I hear the low rumble of thunder. It seems that the snow has now been replaced by hail. What next? Monday, March 21, 2011. Thought it was all.

Thursday, September 29, 2011. As most of you know, and have probably heard by now, parts of Pennsylvania were hit pretty hard by all the rain we've been having of late. On a recent sunny day, something that's been quite a rare occurrence, I was able to get outside and scout around for some subjects to photograph. I couldn't believe how close it was and wondered if it saw me or if it was so intent on catching bugs that it didn't even notice I was there. I think it was safe to say, it knew I was there.

Sunday, May 27, 2012. I ordered and just received a new lens. It's a Micro and attaches to my existing lens. I wanted to see what kind of pictures I would get and if it was something I wanted to pursue before purchasing a "real" lens. So far, so good. It takes some getting used to though, focusing is a bit tricky. So I headed into the garden for some practice. The Peonies are currently in bloom, so I headed straight for them. The roses are not doing too well this year, but still make for a pretty picture.

Sunday, October 28, 2012. It's a chilly, gray afternoon here in the Poconos, and the majority of the leaves have fallen off the trees up here. So, over a hot cup of coffee, I started looking at some of the pictures I took over the summer, and the ones of Bushkill Falls caught my eye. The Main Falls, while impressive before the rains. Were even more so after the rains. This is one of the falls near Bridal Veil. What a difference a little rain makes. It widens and becomes quite a bit more after the rains.

Saturday, July 28, 2012. After over 10 years, I was finally able to make it back to the beach. We were all invited to our office beach party taking place at Westhampton Beach on Long Island, NY. Sunday, March 18, 2012. The very first picture, the one that actually got me hooked on photography, was of a hummingbird at one of the feeders I had put out.
