Country Confessions: Mayo Trip Three - Storms and Rainbows
http://judyharvey.blogspot.com/2014/07/mayo-trip-three-storms-and-rainbows.html
Monday, July 28, 2014. Mayo Trip Three - Storms and Rainbows. A friend told us later that Stan told him, “There’s no way we are getting away without her mother.”. Of course, he was right. What he may not have known was that Vanita was thinking of him. “What if something happens to me and he is all alone? 8221; she asked me. So, on November 17. We again headed north to Minnesota. The most gorgeous rainbows we ever saw appeared in the skies. “It’s a sign! 8221; Vanita and I exclaimed as she snapped pictures.

Recording the Moments: Holiday Happenings 2014
http://valeriepeavler.blogspot.com/2015/02/holiday-happenings-2014.html
Saturday, January 3, 2015. I tend to want all of my blog posts to be profound and wise. I want to say something that encompasses all of my emotions, properly commemorates the moments, and I want to inspire. The 2014 holiday season was filled to the brim with festivities. Thank goodness for online shopping, and that my family lives relatively close by. As mentioned in a previous blog post, Madison attended her first Winter Formal. Apparently I am still cool enough to be in selfies. My brother pulled off w...

Recording the Moments: Ode to Stephanie

Friday, May 22, 2015. I remember when I was a teenager that if I was ever offended or disgruntled by someone, my dad would say, "It takes all kinds, Val." The lesson being that there are many kinds of people in the world, and we might as well learn to accept that and get along the best that we can. How boring would life be if everyone were exactly the same? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Love of My Life. How I’m Doing. Chaos, Laughter, and Lessons Learned. Country Confessions: October 2013
http://judyharvey.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Interview with Kathy Nickerson, Author of Thirty Days to Glory, and My BFF. Kathy and I on a "play day" where we would spend the whole day together. Today I have the opportunity to interview a woman I have known and called friend my whole life. She is Kathy (Grubbs) Nickerson who graduated from our own Atlanta C-3 School. I have read and admired much of her written work from First Grade on, but the culmination of her talent has to be in her first novel Thirty Days to Glory.

Country Confessions: April 2014
http://judyharvey.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 14, 2014. Several people whom I met online recently expressed an interest in my husband Blaine's greenhouse, so I thought my blog might be the easiest way to share the story. Every year my husband saves seeds from two heirloom tomato varieties that we can not find in seed catalogs: Red Wolf and German Giant. Here is the greenhouse. It is just a lean-to built of clear siding on our garage. He recycled a door that was in the shed. You can see our garden spot in the right background. I am a wi...

Recording the Moments: Game Day (A March Madness Post)
http://valeriepeavler.blogspot.com/2015/04/game-day-march-madness-post.html
Friday, March 27, 2015. Game Day (A March Madness Post). At fifteen years old, it is easy to think about number 21 first. But looking back on things, I am glad I could not find my number. When I consider my most treasured memories from basketball, they do not have that much to do with number 21. My best memories have more to do with numbers 15, 20, and 50. April 7, 2015 at 5:07 AM. Recording the Moments: June 2014
http://valeriepeavler.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 13, 2014. As I consider what life would be like without a sister, I wonder who else would have helped me double team our brother when he was being especially obnoxious? Who would have whispered and giggled with me late into the night? Who would have done my hair for prom or given me my first glimpse of the delivery room? Who would have helped me do cartwheels in the back yard or yanked out my eyebrows for the first time? May this year bring you strength, joy, peace, and love! Love of My Life.
