we choose yes: December 2013
http://choosingtosayyes.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
To a life of radical love and thrilling adventure. Monday, December 23, 2013. Our girl has got wheels, and she is PROUD and HAPPY! This picture was unposed. Just her sheer joy caught on camera! It has been awesome to see her be so happy to be wheeling around this past week. The wheelchair guy made all the necessary adjustments to customize her chair, and as soon as he left Tessa took off towards the kitchen. Her first stop was a total surprise to me- the junk drawer. Of course! It was so endearing to wat...

e·piph·a·ny: March 2016
http://epiphany-chronicles.blogspot.com/2016_03_01_archive.html
E·piph·a·ny. Friday, March 4, 2016. I'm the kind of girl. at least i used to be. that was mostly on time. My mom. she's 15-20 minutes early to every place. i'm pretty sure my dad was about the same as well. this isn't because of a generational gap - they were/are basically just the most decent human beings you've ever met and they would never disrespect you by being late. not even for the most casual of occasions. Going grocery shopping with my mom? She'll be at your house ten minutes early. Revising sai...

E·piph·a·ny. Tuesday, September 16, 2014. Usually every july i post a little tribute to my dad. last years. Being the most famous. May 5, 2010. Was taking a shower the other day when the most random memory came upon me. I was 16, interviewing for a job at the Gap ( swoon. And a weird interview at that. It was a group interview. totally nerve wracking. They even made me assemble an outfit, to my horror. I guess i hadn't realized you actually had to be fashionable to work there. He took me for ice cream.

e·piph·a·ny: January 2017
http://epiphany-chronicles.blogspot.com/2017_01_01_archive.html
E·piph·a·ny. Sunday, January 1, 2017. She was a girl. But as the second trimester started those feelings of just knowing. Faded i was ok with this as first trimester wasn't THAT far behind me and i could still vividly remember the feeling of just knowing. so i waddled in confidence that yes, this was going to be a girl. So i laid in bed, clinging to my giant pregnancy pillow, with this fear washing over me. what if she wasn't a girl and instead of receiving her with joy i felt disappointed? I think in my...

E·piph·a·ny. Monday, March 24, 2014. February 18, 2014. Hot dang. we did it! I have to say. several weeks later and i'm still feeling a bit like SheRa: Princess of Power. kjaer (who is HeMan. i mean, obviously) and i had fought a 58 hour epic battle. and we won. It started sunday morning, a day before i was due, when i peed myself. Just kidding. i thought. Am i so pregnant i can't even control my bladder? Did my water break? That couldn't have been my water! I think my water just broke. Our hearts were r...

E·piph·a·ny. Friday, July 4, 2014. Ramblings of a pierceless wonder. I lost my crap the other morning. And not just a little. As in, stomped off to my room, threw myself down on our bed and howled until i could howl no more. Kjaer and i used to call these sorts of days D-days (daddy days) after my dad died. it was a code word to tell him it was basically pointless to try and make me happy. because i just needed to be sad and have myself a good cry and move through the day with puffy eyes. Person. and...

Life in the Woods: October 2011
http://woodstales.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Life in the Woods. Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Shaving cream letters that turned into "sunscreen". Emma went on a breakfast date with Daddy and came home with her own starbucks cup. She thought it was just the coolest thing. She got chocolate milk in a cup like Daddy! We still have all of our leaves and even have two flowering trees and some new purple flowers that have bloomed in the back. I have to say that the new flowering growth is confusing her a little. :). Jonah on one of the tractors. He wa...

http://woodstales.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Life in the Woods. Saturday, November 3, 2012. We had a great Halloween! Jonah was supposed to be a football player but at the last minute he adamantly announced he wanted to be an elephant. So, he wore the elephant hat from Emma's dance recital. We had a great night! Posted by M and B Woods. Emma's birthday lunch - look at those smiles! Our big four year old. Jonah and I made muffins while Emma was at school. We made pumpkin muffins that he could have and he was so very excited. Enjoying a bubble bath.
