Bonita y. mccoy. This month's resource is. Writing Fiction For Dummies. By Randy Ingermanson and Peter Economy. I love the For Dummies series, and this book met my expectations. I am using it to mentor a student in the art of novel writing. The three layer concept clicked with me and my student, giving her an understanding of how to plot her novel. For the advanced writer, it gave information on creating characters and world building and suggestions for editing.

Bonita y. mccoy. I dove into the vast sea of writing at the ripe old age of six. My Mother had a dress shop that was next door to the local newspaper. I loved the smell of ink and the sound of typewriters sang to me . I was hooked. So, I worked on the school paper in Junior High, the year book staff in High School, and worked a short stint doing ad layouts. Then I went to college and majored in Journalism and haven't done much with it since. Until. My husband said write. Now, I've written two manuscript.

November is the National Novel Writing Month. This is where writers in all different genres try to write 50k words by the end of the month. Many sign -up on the web page nanowrimo.org and friend each other for support during this intense writing session. Many others set their own goals for the month. It might be to write a short story a day to get into the habit of doing daily writing, or it might be a set number of pages to edit a day in order to get that first draft moving forward.
