Lines 58 through 72 of Satan’s soliloquy from Milton’s. 8220;Thou hadst: whom hast thou then or what to accuse,/But Heav’n’s free love dealt equally to all? Be then his love accursed, since love or hate,/To me alike, it deals eternal woe.”. Satan is beginning to understand the nature of his fate. His thought process is becoming more complete. Although he is still blaming God, his mind is headed in the right direction.

Though simplistic, is packed with poetic subtext that truly shows the power of Spenser’s pen and that, through the greatness of talented poets, the sonnet form can live on throughout the cycles of time. Just another WordPress.com site. On, “On the Sonnet”. The use of a new rhyme scheme may seem like Keats is attempting to break away from convention. However, the use of classical allusions suggests a wish to express himself through conventional forms. The poem is dynamic in the sense that it links ideas in groups of three while managing to stay completely fluid. A mix of the traditional and the new really does make a great form of expression.
