If you did something you regretted or something like that you would be able to go back and change it. If I were able to do that I would not change anything unless I felt it was completely. And the for the Quote Ending is also the beginning i think it means for this novel that even though he has just reached a ending of his life he is about to reach the beginning of what seems to him like the beginning of a new life. Think about the fact that we live interconnecting lives? That sometimes they interscet somewhat like a venn diagram in Maths?
