The Musings of a Digital Historian in Training. Week 11 – Flickr: the dumping ground for visual culture? Visual culture is an important but vastly overlooked aspect of historical enquiry. Whilst there are lots of images in academic texts, they are usually overlooked. Having primary source images online in database, such as the British Library image collection on Flickr. Enjoying the moments life gives me. Monday, April 1, 2013. Happy Birthday to me? I went into the hall to turn the heat up and when I opened the bedroom door there were BALLOONS, STREAMERS, SIGNS, PARTY HATS, and CANDY waiting for me all over the house! What a fun surprise! It was so nice spending the day with Garrett. We laid low at home, watched some movies and ran a few errands. Garrett went off to work at 2 and I was home alone until my mom came over later that evening. Now I wish I could tell you wha...
Courtney Wade : graphic designer
Hi, my name is Courtney Wade. As a child, I was drawn to all things visual and hands-on, and that passion has followed me into adulthood. I believe Paul Rand said it best when he said, Design is so simple, that's why it is so complicated. I incorporate a classic, elegant and timeless approach into my design. I enjoy. And excel in challenging situations and look at design with an enthusiastic,. Detail-oriented, hard-working, creative and self-motivated attitude.
