About, Awards & Pet Portraits & Drawings. Photos & Videos. I’ve been having problems with my back legs, and recently I’ve cried a few times because of them. So mommy took me to the doctor yesterday. Yeah, I wasn’t too excited to go, but I. Happy to go in the car. I don’t seem to mind the car ride that much anymore. I used to get really nervous and throw up. Can you believe that? Taylor came with us to the doctor’s office. I liked having her with us. Looks like I wasn’t the only doggie not wanting to.

The Spotted Tongue: Backyard agility...with no yard!
http://www.thespottedtongue.com/2012/12/backyard-agilitywith-no-yard.html
Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Backyard agility.with no yard! This post was written for the Dog Agility Blog Action Day. Check out many great posts here. I have no yard. Well, I amend that. I have a yard. It's an approximately 10 foot by 10 foot patch of ratty grass full of pine cones, bushes, and one gigantic pine tree. On top of that, it's my front. After that, I decided I needed more jumps. So I purchased a set of travel jumps. Now I had five jumps! This enabled me to set up basic jump grids. For instan...

The Spotted Tongue: Success for the Non-Competitor
http://www.thespottedtongue.com/2014/06/success-for-non-competitor.html
Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Success for the Non-Competitor. And keep staying, no matter what I did. Proofing? We had it. We really. What I didn’t have was an ace agility dog. Or even a dog with a lot of energy. It’s been four years since I started agility with that dog and I’ve had a lot of time to think about what I want to do. With her in agility. Get a C-ATCH? Ha That’s a good one. Went wrong, but I remember feeling that as a team we had been successful because we met those goals. Did my dog have fun?

Monday, December 10, 2012. 100 things #32: Dahlia in the dog. It was a foggy morning out in Vermont, so I decided to take advantage of that for some shots of Dahlia up on a hillside. This was taken on top of a ski jump that I had her climb up and pose on. Sony A580 Minolta 135mm f/2.8 f/4 1/250 ISO 400 135mm. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Spotted Tongue: Been a long time
http://www.thespottedtongue.com/2014/01/been-long-time.html
Monday, January 13, 2014. Been a long time. I'm not even sure if anyone follows this blog anymore. It's really been so long since I've updated over here. One of my last posts was my Goals for 2013 post. I took her to a trial late in January and she was so stressed out that she just shut down and refused to move off the start line. Twice. I ended up pulling her from the trial and went home to cry. I was incredibly proud of her. Well and then just. nothing. I ended up taking Dahlia down to the park with on...

Sony A580 Minolta 135mm f/2.8 f/4.5 ISO 400 135mm. February 8, 2013 at 11:09 PM. What a gorgeous picture of Dahlia, even with her gruesome severed arm! February 9, 2013 at 9:55 AM. The Spotted Tongue: 100 things #35: The Fun Police
http://www.thespottedtongue.com/2013/01/100-things-35-fun-police.html
Monday, January 21, 2013. 100 things #35: The Fun Police. Even though Dahlia is not the main focus in this photo I love it for how much of her personality it shows. Dahlia is a "fun police" dog. When other dogs get into wrestling or playing bitey face, Dahlia runs up behind them barking and tries to split them apart. Here she is chasing Ruskin and Gracie, who were having a great rousing game of body slamming bitey face. Sony A580 Minolta 135mm f/2.8 f/4.5 1/1250 135mm. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Spotted Tongue: Dahlia, CTL1, NTD, CGC
http://www.thespottedtongue.com/2012/12/dahlia-ctl1-ntd-cgc.html
Friday, December 14, 2012. Dahlia, CTL1, NTD, CGC. Dahlia now has even more. Letters have her name. I have to admit that I never ever thought I'd care about titles. I didn't get a dog to get those letters after her name or certificates that say she can do something. I originally only got her CGC (Canine Good Citizen) because I knew we'd move at some point and I thought it would be a good thing to show to future landlords ("Look! My dog really is. Letters after her name surprised me. Well, here's the list:.
