http://prestonsperspective.blogspot.com/2012/02/beltway-basketball-bonanza-scoring-ends.html
Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Beltway Basketball Bonanza- scoring ends at 40? While college hoops heats up. Sign your name. roll out the balls and get a half century. Maybe college basketball is converting to the ACT. Damn that test! Isn't immune- witness Virginia Tech's. 47-45 win over Virginia a few Sunday's ago. I want to think "Doug Flutie. Georgetown (18-4, 8-3). Had issues shooting on Saturday mornings). The Hoyas. While the Orange have Fab Melo. And where will I watch the game? Alumni Group of DC's.

Sunday, March 11, 2012. Beltway Basketball Bonanza- of Brackets and Burials. There's no other day like it in the world of sports. College basketball's field of 68 is announced with plenty at play: Are you in? And what's the road to the Final Four? Each question is as critical as the previous one.as matchups. Take precedence over actual talent in March. Are figured as a #4 seed by the Washington Post and CBS Sportsline. Has had more than its share of nailbiters. End of season ACCounting. Awaits the Select...

Monday, November 28, 2011. Redskins Rehash- so you're telling me there's a chance? So much for six weeks of slumber before the season ends. Can you believe that FOX had the Skins listed as "in the hunt" this past Sunday? And a 23-17 victory over Seattle. Drink up the burgundy and gold kool. No fumbles lost or safeties allowed? I'm so there it's not even fair. Grossman. Are merely an accounting move. Except when they really cost you. Dallas, Cheers and Happy Days. Last week Rex Grossman. One month after s...

Thursday, September 29, 2011. Presto's Picks- Ray Pruitt= Red Sox. REMembering and other ramblings. We don't exist in a vacuum. Everything around us colors what we do in some way, shape or form. That's why in this week's college football picks preview, I'm talking 80's alternative rock and the parallel between a collapsing baseball team and a strummin. Construction worker with anger issues. Voice, but always providing punch and momentum when necessary. Bill Berry's crackerjack drumming provided the f...

Preston's Perspective: December 2011
http://prestonsperspective.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 31, 2011. This one goes to '11. Where did the last twelve months go? 2011 is about to get into our rearview. A time for lists! One quick spin through the last 365 days in the most shallow of ways- by hitting 11 random stops while trying to make sense of the year gone by. Decided by single digits in the last ten years (and only Tampa Bay's trouncing of Oakland in 2003 would qualify as a blowout). Unfortunately the NFL and NBA offseason. A March with Thrills, Chills and Spills-. What wil...

Preston's Perspective: August 2011
http://prestonsperspective.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 27, 2011. Redskins Rehash- dress rehearsal needs a new final curtain. So a regional rivalry that wasn't. Saw both teams win. The Redskins looked sharp on both sides of the ball in carving out a 21-14 halftime lead. and the Ravens reserves rallied their way to a last-minute touchdown and win that nobody will ever forget. The score was 34-31, right? The dress rehearsal went well for the Skins- and with no OTAs. One passing (a sweet throw by Rex Grossman. And one on defense ( DeAngelo.

Friday, October 31, 2008. Week 10 College Football Picks. Well I typed this up once and unfortunately lost it so the wittiness may not be here the 2nd time. Check out my articles on coversexperts.com on USF and Tulsa. Tulsa and Arkansas is such an intriguing game this week and was a line i know a lot of us were waiting for. Golden Hurricane -7 o/u 77. This is like playing with fire but give me under 77. Any chance Tulane had at covering against LSU went out the window when Andre Anderson went out for the...

Sunday, May 24, 2009. Interleague play wraps up it's first weekend and I for one have enjoyed it. I get a lot of pleasure from seeing the two leagues play each other. The series in NY, Boston, Houston, Minnesota have all been highly enjoyable and something the sport needs. Heck, do you think Nats park would be as packed as it was on Saturday and Sunday if it wasn't the Orioles? Those two are highly entertaining and a series featuring Denver and Orlando would be more enjoyable to me and some fans outside ...
