COVETING: On wanting modern design, harder abs, hip baby clothes, & cool toys — for me and baby: 12.2007

COVETING: On wanting modern design, harder abs, hip baby clothes, and cool toys — for me and baby. THE BEST IN MATERIAL (AND AESTHETIC) DESIRES. I haven't posted here for 2 weeks because that's how busy I have been. There has literally not been 5 spare minutes in my life. I really should have made time to post, though, because last week was hard. I had stuck to my plan but when it came time to weigh myself I was 1 pound heavier than the week before! How did that happen? After a week away from the city an...

COVETING: On wanting modern design, harder abs, hip baby clothes, and cool toys — for me and baby. THE BEST IN MATERIAL (AND AESTHETIC) DESIRES. Someday I think we're going to have a pretty kitchen with a nice L-shaped counter. And then we'll have a few stools around it for snacking and drinking and chatting- and feeding TK. Italian furniture company Magis makes these great aluminum stools, which match their Chair One, which I have coveted ever since we saw it at the deYoung Musuem. But they are outrageo...

COVETING: On wanting modern design, harder abs, hip baby clothes, and cool toys — for me and baby. THE BEST IN MATERIAL (AND AESTHETIC) DESIRES. Trophy Hangers by Phil Cuttance. I saw these in last weekend's NY Times Sunday magazine. They are brilliant I think. Phil Cuttance, the designer, took the ridiculous motion of trophy hunting and turned it on it's head. And they are actually affordable- $50 per animal (you get the head and bum) from the very cool website Charles and Marie. 8226; The relaxation th...

COVETING: On wanting modern design, harder abs, hip baby clothes, and cool toys — for me and baby. THE BEST IN MATERIAL (AND AESTHETIC) DESIRES. Yes, Coveting is back. It is now "Coveting, the renovation edition.". Keep posted to see all things related to our brownstone remodeling project. To start off, I'm starting small. What's so great about this house number from Chiasso. Besides being stainless steel and in a Helvetica-like. Font, the best part is its tiny price tag of $18. Definitely beats the.

Saturday, November 26, 2005. One down, two to go. One of the three round trip cross country flights in one month, that is. It's not that bad. All one really needs is a good husband and a good book. We came home to an apartment that had been used as a wall-to-wall toilet by the cats. Piss and shit, EVERYWHERE! Posted by Melissa at 10:55 PM. Wednesday, November 23, 2005. Which led to last night, and the appearance of my first (oh but surely not to be the last) baby anxiety dream. Monday, November 21, 2005.

Sunday, March 26, 2006. Our Trip to Catalina Island. Okay, so I still can't figure out the picture posting thing. Particularly how to get them in a certain order, and how to get rid of the extra bird picture that I posted. But whatever. My sister is in town visiting this week and we have been great tourists. On Saturday we took the ferry out to Catalina Island and climbed a mountain there. Above is a picture of my sister and Derek at the top of the mountain. Posted by Melissa at 11:46 AM. Monday, April 24, 2006. The most disturbing part of the car being stolen was that when we found it, it didn't appear to be vandalized in any way, but there was a small pile of baby clothes in the passenger seat. There are multiple disturbing levels to this, ranging from the possibility that someone stole the car with their little baby and what state their life must be in for that. In other news, I'm (Ha! Honey, if you are reading this, you know I love you soooo much, I'm just venting to my friends.).

Friday, September 30, 2005. Yes, this is a post about love! Anyway, something that I wrote but did not publish yesterday, inspired by someone who is reading this blog! Will my career get back on track? Will I make friends here? Will I be a blood sucking leech forever? But really, what it comes down to is this: That I am so blessed to have found this wonderful man who loves me, accepts me, balances me, and laughs about diarrhea with me. Of course I would move across the country to be with him. Duh! 3 Buy ...

Thursday, May 18, 2006. Derek was very stubborn. He refused to play the game on the blogs even when I begged him. So, I interviewed him in person and will post here:. Me: What if you had this choice: either you could never play basketball again, or every time you played basketball you also had to do yoga? Derek: I would probably never play basketball again. Me: What is the most annoying restaurant you can think of? Me: If you could only go to one restaurant in NY, what would it be? Derek: Dry or fresh?

Coveting Color
Posted on March 16, 2015. I always look forward to reading Pantone’s color reports each season. Perusing the color combinations and fashion designers take on the new season gets the creativity flowing, especially after a long winter! The jury is still out on their decision to name Marsala. Aside from Marsala, I am completely on board Pantone Spring/Summer 2015. This spring/summer will center around soft and ethereal tones (dusk blue), with complimentary neutrals ( toasted almond. Peter Som, Classic Blue.
