Eureka Victorian Restoration: New Victorian-Style Porch
http://eurekavic.blogspot.com/2011/02/new-victorian-style-porch.html
Restoring A Redwood Victorian in the California North Coast Community of Eureka. Sunday, February 20, 2011. We've added a new porch recently, and to our surprise, a charming dog came with it! So far we've painted the railing, but there's still more to go. We tore the original porch off as part of our foundation work. We had a Victorian reproduction made of redwood designed and built for us by Dane Cowen. From Ferndale. He handcrafted the pieces, we painted them, and he put the whole thing together!

Eureka Victorian Restoration: May 2014
http://eurekavic.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Restoring A Redwood Victorian in the California North Coast Community of Eureka. Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Bathroom fix-up - the clawfoot tub goes! Every old house needs a bathroom touch-up. Ours was a mix of a nice tub and an outhouse. The WC was set in a dark hole - - we struggled with saving the tub, but in the end we found a new home for the old claw foot somewhere in Arcata. Here are a few before and after pictures. I'm not even going to show the old toilet - just too gross. Posted by Pam and Bob.

http://eurekavic.blogspot.com/2014/02/scullery-kitchen-renovation.html
Restoring A Redwood Victorian in the California North Coast Community of Eureka. Monday, February 10, 2014. We recently got pretty close to finishing our scullery renovation (yep, thats where we keep the skulls). On the wall you can see the remnants of the California Cooler - or San Fransisco Cooler. The wall opened to the outside to keep food cool. Long ago removed and now it just adds a draft to the room. Here are some more before photos. Labels: before and after. Restoring A Redwood Victorian in the California North Coast Community of Eureka. Monday, May 2, 2011. Porch and Skirting - Redwood Salvage. April 2011 - Eel River at Fernbridge. After the earthquake in 2010 we had a foundation put in to replace the old post and pier that was knocked over by the quake. We salvaged about half of the redwood skirting – we cut off the rot, cleaned and sanded some of the old paint off. Now its going back up – primed and fresh painted. The end of the rains. Here's a warning...

Restoring A Redwood Victorian in the California North Coast Community of Eureka. Saturday, December 19, 2009. It takes a village to restore a house. You need a crew to fix an old house. As we take on the Eureka Redwood house we are ripping out carpets, flooring and old wallpaper. We are pleased can report that we have been lucky to convince family member and friends to pitch in to help get some nasty jobs done. The kids have been great workers, here is Jamie and Julia taking on the parlor floor. Harry Ep...
