Monday, January 14, 2008. Down on the (pumpkin) Farm. Westmoreland Berry Farm in Virginia - Visiting Rach! Left to right is Sheepish AJ, Horsey Jonah, A-moo-ing Merrik and Oinking Alli. Let me note right here that during our October visit, we had 90 degree temps the whole time! Jonah and Merrik feeding the goats. Cousins AJ (4) and Jonah (3&1/2)! They had a great time together! Much more civil than our last visit - they're both maturing so well! Merrik spies the perfect pumkin! Romping Around the Yard.

Thursday, March 1, 2007. We were in Virginia visiting Rach on his actual bday (Feb. 22) so we were able to celebrate at Chucky Cheese with Rach and her family. It was Jonah's first time to a Chucky Cheese and he totally loved it! AJ showed him the ropes. And even Merrik enjoyed crawling around and exploring there. Then we returned home to MA a few days later and we had another party. yippee! Wow - 3 - what a big boy! The pix are a little out of order - sorry - still figuring this blog thing out!

Wednesday, September 26, 2007. Super star Jonah playing in our kiddie pool. We had a HOT summer and the pool was SO nice to cool off in! Jonah at the wheel! This is at a little playground by our house, which I call River Road Playground because it's on . yep, River Road. Ha! We go to one of four local playgrounds so we've gotta differentiate between all of them. Can't just say "the playground" because that could be anywhere! I thought this photo turned out SO cute with that big smile! What a big boy!

Wednesday, September 26, 2007. Summer, summer, SUMMER TIME! July '07 - G'pa. Burton came to visit during their very long cross country road trip! This was actually their last day. They were all set to leave and I called 'em up that morning before they drove off and asked to meet somewhere so we could say good-bye one more time. It was sad to see them go! August '07 - Jonah and Merrik. Flying" at the New England Air Museum. This cool space suit was on display at the Air Museum. WOW! We love it there!

Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Uncle Paul is So Cool! He rides a motorcycle. Last weekend we got to go watch "Uncle Paul" (Jared's brother) race in a motocross event. It was an endurance race on a 6-mile track, so we only got to see Paul come around a handful of times. But that was enough for the boys! They were thrilled to be able to witness Uncle Paul in all his coolness! Paul - in black - passes by us, heading for a big curve on lap # 2. Monday, February 21, 2011. Exploring snow-covered OSV with my man Merrik! With Jonah in school all day, every day, our adventures w/ both boys are getting fewer and far between. But Merrik and I stay busy! Last week it was a trip to Old Sturbridge Village amidst the snow BUT it was. About 60 degrees out. YAHOO! Here they have a great sledding hill. He made a few trips up and down before surrendering to the slushy track. We'll return when it's frozen again - shouldn't take too long! SURE, why wouldn't.

Thursday, April 21, 2011. This was a beautiful spring day - took all the bikes for a ride and a picnic at The Quabbin. What a fun, gorgeous day! The Quabbin is a man-made lake, a reservoir actually, made in the 1930's when they relocated and then flooded four towns, dammed some areas in between and created this - 39 square miles of water to provide the residents of Boston with a clean water supply! Wednesday, November 13, 2013. The tree must go. In August 2012, the town came and removed a dying tree from our yard. We were very sad. It was a nice huge oak that lined the driveway near the road. However, the process was fascinating for the boys to watch! The trunk is cut all the way down now too and we've got a nice sitting stump at the end of the driveway.
