Staring up the cows passage: Purple Pain

http://cowspassage.blogspot.com/2006/07/purple-pain.html

Staring up the cows passage. Mutterances on cycling, football, music, films, politics (maybe! And (in low moments) computers. Sunday, July 16, 2006. Yesterday and today went cycling with Izzy in Cowal. 65km yesterday, and 124 today - a chunk of today's on my own. We hadn't cycled together for while, in part because I'd commandeered one of Izzy's wheels last week while mine was awaiting repair. My hind quarters, after a training ride, largely resemble those of a baboon. Posted by Jim Speakman @ 20:48.

Staring up the cows passage. Mutterances on cycling, football, music, films, politics (maybe! And (in low moments) computers. Thursday, July 13, 2006. Today I cycled the most I have done in a single day - 139kms. A little tour of Cowal - Dunoon, Ardentinny, Strachur, Glendaruel, Otter Ferry, Tighabruiach, Loch Striven and Innellan. If you throw if the handful of kms that got me to Central Station this morning, then just a whisker short of the Bealach na Ba challenge distance. View my complete profile.

Staring up the cows passage. Mutterances on cycling, football, music, films, politics (maybe! And (in low moments) computers. Monday, July 24, 2006. I completed my final training run today. This is the route I was planning to do on Friday - Innellan, Glendaruel, Otter Ferry, Tighnabruaich, Strachur, Ardentinny, Dunoon. 140 kms. I've been given the number 431. So now for four days of maximal inactivity. Mind you, I have to sort out that broken wheel. Posted by Jim Speakman @ 22:22. View my complete profile.

Staring up the cows passage. Mutterances on cycling, football, music, films, politics (maybe! And (in low moments) computers. Friday, July 21, 2006. I set off today to do one of my final long training runs before the B na B Challenge. Left Dunoon, over Loch Tarsan, up the Otter Ferry road and run to Tighnabruaich. I ended up leaving the bike at the Glendaruel Hotel until we came back later with the car to pick it up. At least I managed 60 hilly kms. Posted by Jim Speakman @ 22:50. View my complete profile.

Staring up the cows passage: Lyons made

http://cowspassage.blogspot.com/2006/07/lyons-made.html

Staring up the cows passage. Mutterances on cycling, football, music, films, politics (maybe! And (in low moments) computers. Tuesday, July 11, 2006. Social ride today - no crashes. A loop of Glen Lyon and Loch Tay, coming to 100km. Included two longer, stiff climbs. First was the unclassified and (on some maps) unmarked road between the metropolitan centres of Kenknock and Pubil. Second was the climb out of Kenmore, heading towards Amulcree.
