Saturday, June 22, 2013. My in-laws wanted family pictures of everyone done so we went to the Stockyard's one Saturday. My friend Jessica did a BEAUTIFUL job - I love them! Tuesday, May 28, 2013. We are slowly getting out and doing more with Evie. She handles everything really well but her friendliness is why we are still keeping her close. This was her busiest weekend yet and she did great! We went to Gainesville for the day on Sunday when Jason preached at his parents' church. While there we went to Lavender Ridge farms. The boys had a lot of fun with their cousin Solomon. In December, they will welcome another little cousin to the mix! The boys checking out the alpacas.

Thursday, July 25, 2013. Hot springs and great wolf lodge. So, we have these sweet friends in our neighborhood. Their daughter is from Ethiopia as well and they came over last week to meet Evie for the first time. Lyla was SO excited that Evie looked so much like her with the same skin color and even the same TB vaccine mark on the same arm. Saturday, June 07, 2014. On Jason's birthday, we went to the Samurai exhibit at the Kimbell Museum. A friend had given us free tickets and the boys were so excited about it! While the boys enjoyed it, Evie did not. She lasted about 15 minutes and then got fussy and loud in her stroller. She and I headed outside and I took a few pictures. She is such a ham! Then she fell asleep in her stroller for a little bit. The birthday boy - we sure love him! Evie with her friend, Lily. End of School Activities.

Thursday, November 1, 2012. Haven's 1st birthday fell on a Saturday so my parents and Aunt Shelby came over to celebrate! Since he had already had his birthday party, he only had a couple little gifts to open and of course devour his smash cake! Bama and Unchie got him this blue car, which has been one of the best gifts. We take it everywhere! He loves riding it; he's so much happier in it than a stroller. Even Jill likes to push him around :). A picture of that is posted on Jillian's birthday post!

Tuesday, October 20, 2009. I finally got around to uploading my photos from Ethiopia over the weekend. You can see all of the photos here: Alisha's Ethiopia photos on Flickr. So, we didn't see a whole lot, but here are a few tidbits from our trip. One evening we went to an Ethiopian restaurant where we had injera and wot and watched traditional dances and musicians. Injera is a spongy bread, similar to a pancake. It's used to pick up and eat wot, which is any type of stew. Injera and wot at Yod Abyssinia.

Friday, August 26, 2011. Sweet Haven is already 2 months old! These past few weeks we have really settled in as a family. We're more used to having to 2 kids, 2 schedules, 2 night-time routines, etc. Haven has been transitioning so well! He's made having 2 kids be a lot easier than it could it. Monday, June 09, 2014. End of School Activities. Wow, what a busy whirlwind the end of the school year is! At the end of April, Judah had his kindergarten program. I videoed it so did not get pictures of the performance, but Kaki was in town to come! Mid-May, Evie had her last day of preschool. Here she is on her first and last day of her first year of preschool. She had a wonderful year and LOVED school! Moving on to the 2 year old class! A couple of weeks ago, both boys had field day - it was a blast!
