Coyans in the Czech Republic

Thursday, October 07, 2010. Watch your step when you enter God's house. Enter to learn. That's far better than mindlessly offering. A sacrifice, doing more harm than good. As a lazy person, it is far easier for me to mindlessly offer something than to seek to change and take the steps to change. Usually change requires effort and a humility that I often don't possess. Am I willing to admit that I don't measure up and that I require improvement? Tuesday, October 05, 2010. Share the work, share the wealth.

Coyans in the Czech Republic

http://coyancz.blogspot.com/2010/09/journey-towards-wisdom-day-1-i-said-to.html

Tuesday, September 28, 2010. I said to myself, "I know more and I'm wiser than anyone before me in Jerusalem. I've stockpiled wisdom and knowledge." What I've finally concluded is that so-called wisdom and knowledge are mindless and witless—. Nothing but spitting into the wind. I am sick, flawed, imperfect. My own so-called wisdom and knowledge no longer makes the grade. It must be admitted, repented of and turned away from. Journey with me towards wisdom and ultimately, change. Wow, ditto Krista.

Sunday, October 03, 2010. I've also concluded that whatever God does, that's the way it's going to be, always. No addition, no subtraction. God's done it and that's it. That's so we'll quit asking questions and simply worship in holy fear. Whatever was, is. Whatever will be, is. That's how it always is with God. I know the feeling: shut up and listen, shut up and obey, just shut up! Humans are such fun. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Life in this republic. Invitation to a changed life.

Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Outside my window.perfect blue skies with large puffy white clouds, a chilly fall breeze that brings with it that singular spicy Autumn scent. Super Missionary Ninja: August 2008

http://dapastrychef.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 6, 2008. Well me made it home everyone! Frank and I left Japan at around 7pm on August 5th and landed around 1:15pm August 5th in the L.A. Cool how that works, we gained a lot of time and had the whole afternoon and evening to adjust. However right after dinner both Frank and I fell asleep because we were so tired and neither of us slept on the 9 1/2 hour flight. What a joy to know this isn't where it all ends. Isaiah and Albert are still there for one more week. Isaiah, will contin...

Super Missionary Ninja: July 2007

http://dapastrychef.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 30, 2007. Day of camp went well. We’ve had on off rain, so it’s been a bit cooler, which is really nice, but our rooms are sweltering… and there’s no air-conditioning in them. For the counselors, our day starts at. As we meet together to discuss the schedule for the day, the message that will be given later that evening, and the cabin time from the night before. After that the campers are up and we take them to breakfast. English lessons are next. With a 15 minute break starting at. Anywho, ...

Super Missionary Ninja: Saturday's Cake class

http://dapastrychef.blogspot.com/2008/08/saturdays-cake-class.html

Saturday, August 2, 2008. Well, it’s now a little after midnight Sunday morning as I type this right now… Saturday was a long day, but very productive! It was amazing that 6 out of 8 of the ladies were not believers, and they had such a wonderful time and felt very welcome at the church. Seeds were planted and I hope and pray they will come to fruition. Well church is in about 8 hours so I must go, Frank and I will update again tomorrow. God Bless! August 3, 2008 at 11:14 AM. Super Missionary Ninja: July 2008

http://dapastrychef.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, July 31, 2008. Morning Everyone, or should I say Good Night? I was really proud of them as we've struggled winning games since my kids are so young! But it's amazing to see them speak in two different languages when they're still learning to talk and write! It was wonderful. Check out the dishes in the pictures. One dish was potatoey with beef, then there was fish from Hokaido, rise, fermented soy beans, tomatoes and other dishes. It was very good. Jiyamatane (see you later). First 2 Days of VBS.

Monday, December 24, 2007. The Long Awaited Update. Well what can I say? I decided to start writing again on this blog because there are some that have brought it to my attention that they regularly check my blog for updates. So I thought I'd give it a try. It is now Christmas Eve and great not to be working as I prepare for Round 2 as New Years rapidly approaches. But, as always, God is GOOD! He constantly provides me with the strength to keep on going! For He is good! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Heptag...

Super Missionary Ninja: 5th Day of VBS

http://dapastrychef.blogspot.com/2008/08/5th-day-of-vbs.html

Saturday, August 2, 2008. 5th Day of VBS. So Friday was the last day of VBS. We had lots of fun with the kids and enjoyed spending time with them as our week long program came to an end. We actually had the biggest turn out of the whole week! It seemed like my class continued to grow all week! However we still had to get back to Tachikawa, go grocery shopping, hop on another train to Musashi-Sakai and then walk to their house. So we didn't get to their house til 8:30 or so and then made dinner for th...

Monday, January 7, 2008. Recovering after the holidays. The craziness is over, PTL! As much as I love and enjoy Christmas and New Years I am very thankful that they are both over. Life has now started to slow down and I have a little bit of time to catch up with the little things of life and what not. Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary." Isaiah 40.31. http://dapastrychef.blogspot.com/2008/08/monday-last-day-with-yoshie-nihon.html

Monday, August 4, 2008. Monday (last day with Yoshie and Nihon Bionics). Check out the pictures, the AB team had printed a welcome sign for me! It was sooo kind of them. I had met a few of them in Valencia last summer when a group of Japanese customers who were brought out to our corporate offices for an Educational Visit about our company. It was crazy. We were at the top of the building on the roof! When we finished dessert we walked back out into the station and realized it was pouring RAIN! Japan has...

Super Missionary Ninja: Sunday (Church and good times)

http://dapastrychef.blogspot.com/2008/08/sunday-church-and-good-times.html

Monday, August 4, 2008. Sunday (Church and good times). We had a wonderful time at church as Takahashi Sensei taught on Luke 22 (which is a passage that John MacArthur has been in for the past year or so.so it was a nice reminder and recap of what left at home before we came to Japan! After church we all went upstairs for a church meal of a Curry dish over rice. It was VERY good. The Curry was prepared by Ms. Omura who was the kind lady who had us over for dinner the night before. So we k...What's amazin...

Wednesday, May 8, 2013. On the day you were born. September 18, 2012. Just hours before the eviction. We were urged to induce labor with Annie because she was clearly outgrowing her dwelling. We arrived at the hospital at 6:00am. I was put in a room to wait for an available labor and delivery room. Little did we know that this was a very popular birthday and we would still be waiting at lunchtime. I was given a lovely lunch of jello and broth. Really? Because Annie was on the.
