Our goal in northern Florida was to go see Fernandina Beach, we had heard it was really nice, and it is. The problem was when we drove there, tropical storm Alberto was upon us and the wind was whipping. Fernandina Beach is a quaint little town and we really liked it, and if it wouldn't have been so hot, we would have thought that we were back in New England. They have a nice park with a playground, some restrooms and a waterfront restaurant called Sandy Bottoms. We spent two days in Callahan, Florida.

We saw North Hampton Beach just as the sun was setting, but the pictures are already too dark. This is some pictures of Bass River Beach. We stopped here before finding West Dennis beach. A lady told us about a windmill nearby too. The sign says open from 8am to 10pm. I don't remember us being charged to visit this beach. Here is a view of Bass River beach. There is a dock nearby that you can walk out on to enjoy the view. We really liked it here. On the day we were here it was not very crowded. There are also some large building nearby that look like condos or maybe even a hotel.
