It's been almost a month since this handsome gentleman showed up on our porch. That story is here. His name is Mr. Atticus Darcy - but of course we call him Atticus. Or Buddy. Who knows why we do that! He's gained 8 pounds even though he runs around playing fetch like his very life depends on it! He loves raw eggplant, zucchini, bell peppers, squash, carrots, watermelon, cantaloupe and apples. Did I ever mention the vet thinks he 5-6 months old? WE are glad Atticus found us . . . Well, it looks as if the dog may be staying with us! At least that's what WE say. The cat, on the other hand, is quite displeased. Another Dog for Us? In October our Golden Retriever, Shiloh, died. I don't know if I ever wrote about it but will need to because his burial was quite memorable. I'll shouldn't have swept, vacuumed and mopped the floors today! I didn't get to finish vacuuming though; the belt broke and I don't have another one and WalMart doesn't have any either :(. That several years ago we bought a generator so we have electricity to operate some of the more necessary things! And oh so grateful. Are lots and lots of electrical cords!

I can't believe the last time I shared a month pic was at 2 months! Time is flying by WAY too fast this go-round! Can you believe this chunk is 8 months old? Finally, I have a blue door! It really helps brighten up the kitchen, which is the darkest room in the house as far as natural light goes. While I was at it, I ditched the spice rack (moved to the pantry), and finally got some Albers prints up! Not bad for a weekend facelift. Possibly the cutest little commission ever.
