Sweet Regards: Meditation for Beginners
http://sweetregards.blogspot.com/2009/02/meditation-for-beginners.html
Poetic Pictures for Open Minds. Friday, February 6, 2009. Okay, so for those of you beginners who want to get a feel for meditation, I've made it very simple. See the candle flame? Just stare at it for 3-5 minutes and try not to let any thoughts come in. If they do, just recognize that you have those thoughts and then push them out. The reason we do this is to prove we have control over our own minds. Our thoughts don't dictate us, we dictate them. And let's be honest, what's 5 minutes out of our day?

Sweet Regards: December 2008
http://sweetregards.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Poetic Pictures for Open Minds. Thursday, December 18, 2008. The Paradox of our Time. The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider freeways but narrower viewpoints. We spend more but have less. We buy more but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge but less judgment, more experts yet more problems, more medicine but less wellness. Links to this post.
