Dane Larsen blogs about babies, flying elephants, and geographic contingencies. Loy Krathong at the Park. Tonight we celebrated Loy Krathong. At the park with way more people than we imagined on 24 hrs notice. Best holiday ever, though we did miss the drunks slinging bottle rockets on the banks of the Mae Ping just a little. (In) Secure World
http://insecureworld.blogspot.com/2010/11/some-governments-around-world.html
Monday, November 1, 2010. Some governments around the world, frightened by the interception of two bombs directed to the United States, decided to introduce stricter security measures for air transportations. To my sincere disappointment, the decisions made illustrate the complete helplessness and lack of "security thinking" of the tops. In particular, the following additional measures were put in place. Wow If Moldova won't accept flights from Nigeria, I know the country to use instead ;). Some governme...

A high tolerance for repetition. I would definitely say I had a successful vacation. I didn't think about Chinese restaurants at all (there weren't any nearby) and barely looked at the clock, except to be able to tell that I was sleeping at least 9 hours every single night. So nice! Then last night, only my second night home, I dreamt about Chinese restaurants! I'm not even kidding! I dreamt about taking pictures of a Chinese restaurant somewhere in Wyoming. I am very far gone indeed. Links to this post.

A high tolerance for repetition. Every September I take a picture like this, but this year we have something new: peacotums! That’s peach apricot plum, the latest in the explosion of pluots, plumcots & apriums that we’ve been enjoying for the past decade or so. Blossom Bluff. Posted by indigo @ 9:50 PM. Links to this post. Brilliant work, which goes screeching right into the "Dang! Why didn't I think of that? I have a good excuse though. Duck sauce is an East Coast thang. Or at least, not a West Coast thang. Or at least, not in my experience. (I was wrong about the rangoons. I could be wrong about the duck sauce.). Posted by indigo @ 11:24 PM. Links to this post. Also: a friend ...

A high tolerance for repetition. Off-topic (but maybe not really, as an example of increased sound awareness): some mysterious bird has been chirping its little heart out all around our house ever since I got home from the Midwest. Constantly! However it has managed to stay out of sight, frustrating my curious need to make a positive ID on it. Well, satisfaction. Has brought this kitty back; now I can think, "that robin is hella loud! Instead of "what bird could that be? For you city dwellers. 2 cups cho...

Cracks in the Pavement. Friday, June 22, 2012. Competition, Motivation, Determination. Shari Lynne: Sean and I returned to our Thursday practices at Northerly Island this week. We weren't 100% sure the Northerly Island practices were happening last week because of the big weekend previously, but we also wanted to make sure we were healed enough (from sunburns, massive bruises, and sores) and got a workout routine down, somewhat, before returning. Used It fit me better as far as the foot-plates were conce...
