A Baby Sister to Love: Bonding
http://babysistertolove.blogspot.com/2009/03/bonding.html
A Baby Sister to Love. Our Ethiopian Adoption Story. Friday, March 20, 2009. I did all the research - read books, surfed the Web, completed the mandatory training provided by our adoption agency. And after all of that research, I was prepared to bring a baby into our family and struggle a little. I was prepared to have a difficult time bonding with our baby up front. All the experts (including my Mom) told me it was a possibility. Was the bond instantaneous? Was it love at first sight? My husband, Chip, ...

A Baby Sister to Love. Our Ethiopian Adoption Story. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. We've been home almost two weeks, and we've had lots of visitors. Many friends have come bearing gifts and dinner, and we are so grateful! Trying to settle in after our adventure overseas has taken quite a bit of time and energy, and our friends and family have been so thoughtful. I'd forgotten how many loads of laundry and dishes a baby can generate! Ella with Auntie Kiersty (my dearest, bestest friend). We had been told t...

A Baby Sister to Love: Ella Update
http://babysistertolove.blogspot.com/2009/05/ella-update.html
A Baby Sister to Love. Our Ethiopian Adoption Story. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. I have been a very bad blogger lately. I like to think it's because I'm working so hard at being a fabulous Mommy! It's actually because I'm horribly unorganized. Sigh. Many people have asked for a posting with new photos. Here it is:. In March, Ella cut her two bottom teeth. They came in right around Chip's birthday. She also started saying "Da-da" at about the same time. Thanks for the Ella update and the pictures!

A Baby Sister to Love. Our Ethiopian Adoption Story. Monday, January 4, 2010. Today is Ella Day. Chip and I met our daughter one year ago today in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. After months of gazing at photos of a baby that would be ours, and wondering what she was like, we got to see and hold and touch our baby girl. I agree - she is a gift! We love her so much! A Baby Sister to Love. Our Ethiopian Adoption Story. Wednesday, December 31, 2008. In two days in Paris, we have seen:. But, what we really want to see is:. Tuesday, December 30, 2008. What do two people pack for a 16-day adoption adventure with stops in Paris, Dubai and Addis. An adventure that will include traveling home with a six-month-old baby girl? 2 cans of formula. 200 worth of baby clothes to donate to orphanage. 12 outfits for our baby. Clothes for 2 adults. Pretty amazing, right? A look at that.
