Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Handmade Fall Silk Flowers Arrangement perfect for Fall Decor. I made this beautiful fall color theme Silk flowers arrangement specially for my Mom. Usually, I am not a big fan of silk flowers as I prefer to make them myself (paper or clay). For a change I thought when I know I am short of time, and still want to splash some newness and color I decided to use silk flowers this time. But just to give you some idea. Green and brown floral tape. Basic Rules of Flower Arrangements.

Thursday, December 4, 2014. Handmade Tree Topper for Christmas Tree. I made this Christmas tree topper with my 4 year old son last year. It was the first year we were decorating our Christmas tree with handmade ornaments made by him ( of course with a little help from me). We used red card stock but you can use any color you like. We used 4 inch squares for the cones and 3 inch circle for base. You can choose the size of the square card stock for the cone based on the size of tree topper you want to make.

Saturday, August 18, 2012. Summer Craft Classes - Spiral roses card with paper quilling. This is in continuation with my previous post. This project I am sharing was made by my eight year old student. Spiral roses are so elegant and enhance the beauty of any project they are used in. I have used them often for cards, tags as gift toppers etc. Just change the size of the spiral used to make the rose and you can use it in multiple ways. Links to this post. Labels: craft for kids. Craft Ideas for all: Baby Socks Rose Bouquet
https://craftideasforall.blogspot.com/2010/01/baby-socks-rose-bouquet.html
Monday, January 25, 2010. Baby Socks Rose Bouquet. In continuation to the series of gift ideas for Baby Shower. Again, this is an easy project. I think the pictures are enough for you to understand how to go about it. I bought this container from Target, you can use any other vase as well. However, I suggest using solid color vase as it will hide the styrofoam and the wires. Knit socks give the best results. Styrofoam is used to fix the Sock rose in the container. You can use plastic or paper leaf. Thank...

Twinkling Thoughts: Lets make ourselves HAPPY!
http://zestexpress.blogspot.com/2010/06/lets-make-ourselves-happy.html
Straight from my heart! Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Lets make ourselves HAPPY! 8220;Happiness is intrinsic. It's an internal thing. When you build it. Into yourself, no external circumstances can take it away”. I came across this interesting thought today while surfing the internet. How incredibly true it is! One of the activities that I indulge in most is shopping. It’s a complete mood lifter for me. I love to shop, be it personal or household stuff. I love to shop for myself, my family and...Very well said ...

The Quintessential Indian: June 2011
http://sudeep-the-quintessential-indian.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
What I see. What I feel. Sunday, June 05, 2011. Ba-Ba Ramdev have you any shame. no sir no sir I only want fame. The Great Indian Tamasha continues to amuse the World. And this time it features Baba Ramdev. It seems Ramdev (sorry Mr. Baba, you don't get my regards) was fed up of crunching his stomach and holding his breath and decided to take plunge in politics. As is one Anna Hazare was not enough for this nation, we suddenly had another '. Ramdev himself admitted that 99% didn't. Such shamlessness!

The Quintessential Indian: September 2013
http://sudeep-the-quintessential-indian.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
What I see. What I feel. Monday, September 23, 2013. I was at a watch store sometime back in the quaint town I live in. As, this was not a metro city, I decided to take my chances and ask the big question "Do you keep HMT watches? The elderly gentleman on the other side of the counter gave me a side long glance and smiled. "Woh to bahut pehle ati thi". He said adding "I have several other brands, why don't you try those? So what was it that got me hooked? I had to have this watch, at any price! Is this a...

The Quintessential Indian: Taking time out
http://sudeep-the-quintessential-indian.blogspot.com/2011/05/taking-time-out.html
What I see. What I feel. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. I've recently joined my new employer. Well not too recently either, it's been nine months now. I am a consultant now. An average consultant spends a lot of his life travelling. His travel plans are unplanned and bizarre. My second and the most recent trip was to Chandigarh, Jammu and Simla. I've often discussed this with my colleagues and they tell me how difficult it is to be a tourist at a place you are visiting for business. I, however disagree. Am not s...

The Quintessential Indian: May 2011
http://sudeep-the-quintessential-indian.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
What I see. What I feel. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. I was at a chemist's shop waiting patiently for the sales person at the counter to get free. He was busy dealing with a lady who had come to buy some 'salt solution' which the doctor had prescribed her to wash the dentures of her son. The bottle costed Rs 60 and the lady was visibly upset at spending so much for a one time wash of the dentures. She asked the sales person if it was alright to wash the dentures in warm salted water to which he replied. On my ...

The Quintessential Indian: Remembering Pearl
http://sudeep-the-quintessential-indian.blogspot.com/2012/05/remembering-pearl.html
What I see. What I feel. Thursday, May 03, 2012. At times I start living in the past. Sitting on my sofa at this late hour my mind has wandered back to the age of. To the age of the romance of the ever-so-old Ashok Kumar and the effervescent Peral Padamsee. What a beautiful name she had. I must have been a kid when I saw that movie and the image of the doting plum Parsi mother continues to be as fresh. I guess it is her name. Pearl. A gem! She has that sweet and mystic aura around her. I, Me, Myself.
