Autumn Daesy: September 2009
http://autumndaesy.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Because blogging's cheaper than therapy. Tuesday, September 15, 2009. It's Homecoming season again! For those of you who might not know, (seriously? The husband and I live in the same small town where we went to high school. Our high school mascot is a Sheepherder. No, I'm serious. You can't even make that up! H-E-R-D-E-R-S, Herders are the very best! What would that be, exactly? The band is playing a Michael Jackson song (duh) for the half time show, and the Teen had been chosen to march with the bass d...

Autumn Daesy: June 2009
http://autumndaesy.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Because blogging's cheaper than therapy. Friday, June 26, 2009. Everyone knows that women gain weight when they have a baby. Children have a drastic effect on mother's physique, and in so many ways! In a perfect world, nursing a baby would cost enough calories for mommy to lose that extra "baby weight". But there are many other variables to consider. A glass (or two) of wine in the evening. And if you have older children. In the plus side, chasing toddlers can be rather exhausting! And I don't know of ma...

Autumn Daesy: March 2009
http://autumndaesy.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Because blogging's cheaper than therapy. Saturday, March 28, 2009. We welcomed our little boy at 4:20pm on March 23, 2009. He is a perfect little angel, and looks so much like his sister did! We couldn't be more happy with him! And check out all that blonde hair! Got an IV going. (Side note: why do health care "professionals" never listen to me? Yes, I know. LISTEN to me! They knew I was in labor, right? That was the good part of the story. We had nothing that one would normally pack for an overnight sta...

Autumn Daesy: June 2011
http://autumndaesy.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Because blogging's cheaper than therapy. Friday, June 10, 2011. I think we have been adopted by a new cat. Anyone who has ever had a cat knows what I am talking about.people don't own cats, cats own people. When our beloved hedgehog died 6 months ago, the husband begged and pleaded that we would have no more pets. Surely, the cuddling and feeding and poop detail was met with our children and their needs? Thing" to clean up after. On my kitchen floor. (It's too bad that "vermin" can't be declared as t...

Apple Pork Chops | Feeding the Roots
https://feedingtheroots.wordpress.com/2012/01/22/apple-pork-chops
Our family's journey towards cooking more and eating out less. One of my favorite meals growing up was my mother’s apple pork chops. It was my grandmother’s recipe originally, adapted by my mother. It takes time, but turns out delicious! Apple Pork Chops with Rice. Bone-in pork chops (center cut). Olive oil (about 2 Tbs.). Season salt (I use Lawry’s). 2 Brown on both sides. The chops do not have to be cooked thoroughly. They will continue cooking during the simmer. Tags: apple pork chops. You are comment...

Autumn Daesy: April 2009
http://autumndaesy.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Because blogging's cheaper than therapy. Monday, April 27, 2009. As my loyal readers (all five of you) can attest, most of my recent posts have been about my kids in some way. Well, after spending 5 weeks of doing almost nothing but childcare, I'm ready to talk about something else. ANYTHING else. So I read a blog earlier today that got me thinking. Wrong lyrics: S'cuse me while I kiss this guy. Real lyrics: S'cuse me while I kiss the sky. That has frequently misheard lyrics! Right: In the garden of Eden...

Day 1: Survived without temptation | Feeding the Roots
https://feedingtheroots.wordpress.com/2011/03/22/day-1-survived-without-temptation
Our family's journey towards cooking more and eating out less. Day 1: Survived without temptation. I get a nice post-bedtime evening to rest and relax, and we still eat dinner together. We’re starting out fresh! Today, no one wanted to eat out. We had a great grilled chicken dinner and I survived running errands without grabbing something quick while I was out. Let’s see what tomorrow holds. Day 2: Not a Pizza Night! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public). Notify ...

Autumn Daesy: February 2010
http://autumndaesy.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Because blogging's cheaper than therapy. Thursday, February 18, 2010. Put Mom in the picture! I was going through our pictures and videos from the last year, which were many because of the new baby and all that. I noticed someone missing. Mommy. I have about four pictures of myself with my new offspring, counting the ugly "hospital" pic and the group shot at Christmas. So here is my little "suggestion" for the week.get in the picture! Don't forget to trade back.what was on that memory card, anyway?
