Book Review: Under the Ramadan Moon – Good AfterNoora
https://goodafternoora.wordpress.com/2012/08/03/book-review-under-the-ramadan-moon
Book Review: Under the Ramadan Moon. August 3, 2012. It took a while to find this book. Last year, I checked out every children’s Ramadan book that my local library system had to offer to find *the*. Early childhood Ramadan book for Noora’s home library. There were more Ramadan books in the secular public library system than I thought! And they covered Ramadan traditions in different places, including Kuwait, Egypt, and America! Early childhood Ramadan book for us. I found Hena Khan’s. Why did Qur’...

Cow’s Milk – Good AfterNoora
https://goodafternoora.wordpress.com/2011/12/09/cows-milk
December 9, 2011. Today was a bittersweet day. You know, I’ve been longing to get back on a farm…get closer to nature and all. And we found one! Right in our backyard! It’s walking distance from our house (though the sidewalk disappears for a few yards on the way…). Yup, it’s a farm complete with chickens, pigs, geese, horses, and cows. AND you can feed them too! It’s really a toddler’s (and a parent’s) dream come true! This slideshow requires JavaScript. Laquo; Book Review: At the Masjid Learning Series.

Crocheting a Beard? – Good AfterNoora
https://goodafternoora.wordpress.com/2011/12/15/crocheting-a-beard
December 15, 2011. I read about this phenomenon last May, but I was waiting for a time when I could intelligently respond…have you ever heard of a knit or crocheted beard? You don’t believe me? Just check out this site. I first read about it on Green Prophet. Apparently, it was all the rage last year in Europe as a type of facewarmer–what a great alternative to the regular ski mask, no? Welcome – Good AfterNoora
https://goodafternoora.wordpress.com/welcome
It used to be Noora’s Nursery. It was cold outsideand an online storefront was born out of this artistically-minded mama’s desire to create unique and Islamically-inspired items for her baby daughter, Noora. It all started with a hat that I wanted to make to match all Noora’s multicolor coats. So I began to crochet, onlookers began to ooh and aah, and Noora’s Nursery was born! Things that I never thought I,. A fine arts teacher. Would get into until A.N. (After Noora). I didn’t think. This is my personal...

https://goodafternoora.wordpress.com/2012/07/17/welcome-to-the-world-baby
Welcome to the World, Baby! July 17, 2012. This past Saturday was one of the best days that I’ve had in a long time. It was the aqiqa feast for baby #2. That’s right! She’s out(–she actually came out two days after the previous post! 8230;and it was pouring cats, dogs, elephants, coyotes, and every other animal at the zoo during her feast. This matters because…the aqiqa was outdoors at a state park! Baby to the world. This beautiful welcoming party by family, friends, and the elements alike reminded me o...

Knitting 101: “Purl towards Mecca” – Good AfterNoora
https://goodafternoora.wordpress.com/2011/12/22/knitting-101-purl-towards-mecca
Knitting 101: “Purl towards Mecca”. December 22, 2011. The beginnings of my first swatch. But what’s really got me is the fact that I just want to stitch again. I have started so many projects in the past couple of months just to frog them or leave them unfinished, and now I just want to finish something. Look out! I think there will be some finished objects coming your way soon! A special shout out of deep gratitude to Jessica for taking the time to teach me this morning! Filed Under: Generally Speaking.
