Craftio Ergo Sum: August 2010
http://craftioergosum.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Ya know, like Descartes, but not quite). Sunday, August 8, 2010. A Broomstick Lace Bolero. I have really wanted to explore new crocheting techniques lately, so I though I'd try my hand at broomstick (or jiffy) lace. The end product was this bolero. I started with a row of foundation single crochet the width of my shoulders in a multiple of 4 stitches. I just made it up as I went along. Broomstick lace is lots of fun and very easy! I learned the technique with this youtube video. Alice the fiber fiend.

Ya know, like Descartes, but not quite). Friday, July 2, 2010. When self striping yarn goes horribly, horribly wrong. I saw a lovely and simple pattern in Interweave Crochet called the Marilyn Twinset. I knew that the stripes weren't going to line up , but oh my goodness, one side is very dark and the other is very light. What can I do? I will continue to work on the issue; I am reluctant just to frog the whole thing, though it may come to that. Alice the fiber fiend. July 3, 2010 at 12:52 AM. Alice the ...
Craftio Ergo Sum: Some bookmarks
http://craftioergosum.blogspot.com/2010/06/some-bookmarks.html
Ya know, like Descartes, but not quite). Sunday, June 13, 2010. I have learned to love thread! I have been busily making bookmarks the past few days for gifts for my daughters' teachers. I really enjoy working with thread; it always looks fancy (even when it's really, really easy). I'd love to start on a summer cardigan in thread- but considering my "crochet ADD" it might take a decade for me to finish! The pattern I used is Apak's Butterfly Bookmark. June 13, 2010 at 8:32 PM. http://craftioergosum.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Ya know, like Descartes, but not quite). Wednesday, March 10, 2010. I'm taking the pledge. To actually blog about my crafting and occasionally the exploits of my 2 zany daughters. Really. What, you don't believe me? So my track record isn't so hot. okay it's abysmal. but I've had such good intentions! Hmm, what's that about the road to hell? Well, gosh wouldn't asphalt work better than good intentions? The contractors they hire to fix the roads these days, humph! Alice the fiber fiend.

Sunday, August 9, 2015. The colors from Runway Inspired and the sketch from Freshly Made inspired this card. Tags and birthdays added the final touch to this card. I first punched the three flowers and then cut the tag. I stamped and punched the flowers and pop them just a bit with a glue dot. Enjoy! Monday, August 3, 2015. Thursday, July 30, 2015.
