Thursday, January 29, 2015. Here is my latest pillow and how I put it together. Supplies: A pillow top (15" x 15" for a 14"x14" pillow form) and two pieces (15" x 10" each) for the envelope back. A package of piping in a color to match or contrast. Sewing machine with zipper foot, thread, straight pins. Sew a hem on one 15" side of each backing piece. Lay the pillow top on your surface with the front facing you and place the two backing pieces onto of top, so that the hemmed edges over lap each other.

Friday, December 28, 2012. I love a good scrubby for scrubbing pots and pans and I just learned that more than one of my friends appreciate good scrubbies too. So this last Christmas, more than one of my friends received my handmade scrubbies as a gift. I have other friends who will be receiving some as birthday gifts. They are easy, quick and inexpensive to make. So here is how I crochet a scrubby. Yard (.46m) of net fabric ( /- $1.00 per yard (.92m). Size I (5.5 mm) crochet hook. Here is the net fabric.

Sunday, October 21, 2012. Many years ago I was taught how to make Christmas light balls. Of course I gave them as Christmas gifts that year. My Mom left her’s behind when she moved, so she asked me for another one. Since we are putting up my Mom’s Christmas lights this coming weekend, I sat down and got another one made, and this is how I did it. 50 9 oz. clear Solo cups (they need to be very bell shaped, $4 a package of 40). 120 1 inch brass fasteners (we use to call them brads, $4 a package of 100).
