German Jello Salad: April 2013
http://germanjellosalad.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Academic. Domestic. Awesome. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. I Should be Procraftinating. I allowed myself to work on my pregnancy/baby scrapbook, but only because I want to be able to have it out for Norie's party and I'm almost a year behind. All other creative endeavors were cut from the calendar. Conclusion: The Universe wants me to be creative. Really got to me. Via CraftSnark, http:/ www.craftsnark.com/2013/01/craft-definition-procraftinating.html. I clicked the link and do you know what she said? There w...

Crafts, Quilts, Projects and Moore. Eating the Frog, and having a whole Frog Farm. May 1, 2015. I’m coming out of the coma. The mental coma that moving put me into. Anyone who has moved recently knows that moving is brutal. And anyone who hasn’t moved recently probably doesn’t remember how brutal moving is because they’ve completely blocked it out of their memory. Which I hope to do soon. Very soon. Everything takes longer. Sometimes days longer. But now I’m coming out of the coma. The shower c...But whi...

How to Machine Bind a Quilt
http://alwaysexpectmoore.com/2015/01/how-to-machine-bind-a-quilt.html
Crafts, Quilts, Projects and Moore. How to Machine Bind a Quilt. January 12, 2015. You can use whatever size binding you like. I like to cut mine into 2″ strips. When you get to a corner, fold the binding away from the quilt to make a 45 degree angle. Then fold the binding back to the quilt, so it lines up with the next side of the quilt. When you get to the corner, fold down the triangle so it is out of the way. You do NOT want to stitch this triangle down. Stitch to the corner, and with the needle down...

http://alwaysexpectmoore.com/2015/02/100th-day-of-school-lego-shirt.html
Crafts, Quilts, Projects and Moore. 100th Day of School Lego Shirt. February 6, 2015. So, apparently, the 100th day of school is now a “thing”. Which I think is fun. Any time I can get my son to celebrate going to school is a win in my book! Our school invited students to wear a shirt with 100 things on it to celebrate the 100th day. Most kids would pick something simple – stickers, buttons, pom-poms… but my son wanted Legos. A 100th day of school Lego shirt. Okay. Iron, ironing board. 4 So… cover ...

http://alwaysexpectmoore.com/2014/12/how-to-square-up-quilt-blocks.html
Crafts, Quilts, Projects and Moore. How to Square up Quilt Blocks. December 22, 2014. I also line up the angle of the block with the 45 degree line at an angle across the ruler. This will help all the points line up. I make sure that the block is inside the 3″ mark, then trim off the excess on the two sides, where the block hangs out past the ruler. Repeat – over and over and over again… until all your blocks are squared up! Filed Under: how to. Subscribe to our mailing list! Speak Your Mind Cancel reply.

Simple Money for Kids
http://alwaysexpectmoore.com/2014/12/simple-money-for-kids.html
Crafts, Quilts, Projects and Moore. Simple Money for Kids. December 29, 2014. This holiday, I thought my oldest son, now 6, needed more help understanding that Christmas is about giving. With so many aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, and grandparents, there sure is a lot of getting going on! A great place to get started when thinking about others. As he gets older, I want to keep this lesson of giving, as well as an overall responsibility with money. These are great lessons to learn young. Workin...
