Jewelry Making 101: Gemstone Properties

http://crafty101.blogspot.com/2008/11/gemstone-properties.html

Monday, November 3, 2008. I prefer to use gemstones over glass/man-made materials. I like the imperfections of using a real stone as compared to something that was manufactured. http://crafty101.blogspot.com/2008/10/expensive-tools.html

Monday, October 27, 2008. So there are huge price discrepancies in jewelry tool prices. You can buy three piece sets for $7 at Joann's while you can also buy premium quality tools for around 10 times that amount. How to choose? Well, I've bought cheap tools and they are great for beginners. I think that if you are just starting out in the beading craft, you should probably start out with a cheap set. Why? Tools that you can find in my toolbox:. Side Cutters - to cut the wire/chain. Your First Bead Earring.
