Crafty Aspirations: Strong strong women
http://craftyaspirations.blogspot.com/2009/03/strong-strong-women.html
Thursday, March 19, 2009. Is a charming Dutch film about Antonia and her family and friends. It starts with the day she decides to die "because she knows when enough is enough" and then goes back to tell her tale. The story is a great one - full of the intricacies of small town life where everyone's business is known. I don't want to say too much because I don't want to spoil the tiniest bit of it. I give it a 9. Thanks for the recommend! March 19, 2009 at 11:55 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

There are two kinds of politics: international, which deals with diplomacy and international institutions like the United Nations, and national, which deals with domestic issues like taxes and education and the economy. As long as the national politics you’re reading about isn’t your native country, it counts for this challenge. After all, it’s a national government that decides its country’s diplomacy! 8230;a group of readers dedicated to learning more about the world in 2009. So, for any of the other categories, feel free to read biographies. But memoirs and autobiographies are inherently less trustworthy, so I feel that they need to be pulled out into their own category. I certainly think that they’ll spark some great discussions, and are very valuable, but they’re not the same as ‘third person’ non-fiction. Long After Midnight at the Niño Bien: A Yanqui’s Missteps in Argentina. See my review here.

In this case, I’m going to pretty arbitrarily say that history is anything that happened before World War II; later than that, and it belongs in one of the other categories. Why? Wtorek, 22 lipca 2014. The short version of the story of How I Met My Husband (and how he ended up in Gdańsk) can be found here. Without knowing anybody, with no language and a set of keys that didn't fit the door lock he came to stay for a year. He left after three years, having found a group of friends (and a wife) and learned basic Polish. I made this album for him using a fantastic chipboard album from Scrapiniec and photos of the favourite places in Gdańsk. Sobota, 19 lipca 2014. Play it again, Sam.

It's become something of a tradition for me to make E a special outfit each year for her birthday. Two years ago, I made her a butterfly skirt. And had a friend embroider a "3" on a tee to match. Last year. I threw together a Foofa shirt and easy tutu. For the skirt, I decided to try a double-layer ruffle skirt, from this tutorial.

Badassness and other ness's. October 29, 2012. This post is about a recent burn I had on my thumb and it includes a recipe to help heal burns. I immediately rinsed it under cool running water (not super cold), for over 5 minutes. I did this for as long as I could as it helps to bring the temperature of your skin down.
