Baban Cat: February 2013
http://babancat.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, 2 February 2013. The Pantone Colour of 2013 is. I know this isn't news and the announcement was made way back when but I've been such an awful blogger that it's taken me this long to add it to the list. My work commitment this year means that I haven't got time to make Etsy treasuries so I'll take the easy way out and look at Pinterest. Pantone's own Emerald board. Has some gorgeous pins to inspire even the most jaded blogger. My person favourite? For a more informal look. Take one a day.

http://babancat.blogspot.com/p/my-shop.html
Welcome to my Etsy shop. Here you'll be able to see all the things that keep me busy. There are crocheted garlands, plus my range of organics; blankets, cushion covers and lovely knitted baby wear. A beautiful crochet cushion cover. That will give your home the pastel spring look. Together with a matching garland. That will pull the look together. If you want a totally different look how about some IKEA hacking? This knitted IKEA Rusch wall clock cover. Whatever your plans this summer have a great time!

Baban Cat: Cable blanket
http://babancat.blogspot.com/2014/12/cable-blanket.html
Sunday, 28 December 2014. This started out as a cable crochet blanket but has changed identities along the way. There are three different panels here; a right cross cable, a left cross cable and one that I've named a bobble ladder. I've made six so far and they need to be pieced together with a crochet join. The pattern for the cables is Lion Brands classic cable throw. I used Aran weight wool and 6mm knitted needles. MB-make bobble. These are 5 stitch bobbles. For a tutorial Vogue knitting.

Baban Cat: January 2014
http://babancat.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Friday, 17 January 2014. This is the reason I've been absent from blogland for so long. Yes, it's my very own book. It's taken a year from the initial concept to its publication. I can't thank the staff at Quarto enough for their help and guidance. They've been wonderful to work with. I'm so pleased with the finished book. The photography and layout are superb. I'll tell you more about the process in later posts. In the meantime I'm off for a vanity check on Amazon. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Baban Cat: A Quick Tutorial
http://babancat.blogspot.com/2015/03/a-quick-tutorial.html
Sunday, 22 March 2015. If like me you have numerous USB leads then you share my frustration at finding the right one. I have two camera both with similar leads but with different connectors and when I'm in a rush I always mix them up. This short tutorial shows how you can save yourself more frustration. All you need is the correct lead, a crochet hook and some spare yarn. I've used a 4mm hook and double knit yarn. Start with a slip knit and place the hook on top of the cable.
